Indeed. This doesn't mean there's no valid reason to question the official story, though

By the way, I do not know if you are familiar with the theory but there is a theory with some supporting evidence that it may not have been planes involved with the WTC's at all. Somebody did a video analysis and has come to the the conclusion that the manner in which the planes in the videos moved...

I still say the Friedmanite (David, not Milton) notion of a polycentric legal system handled by private firms is either incoherent or, in practice, indistinguishable from the current system. I agree, the formation of a legal system under anarchy is a difficult problem to solve. The best I can imagi...

I believe morals are the result of human evolution, and that people who reject them (e.g. nihilists) are ignorant towards science and the laws of physics. Game theory and most in particular the Prisoner's dilemma can be applied consistently as a basis for morality, but as ruveyn pointed out it has ...

Which, of course, eased their conscience--thinking of the women they raped as "Black" or "Mulatto", and their children as being property. They didn't need to clear their conscience. As harsh as it sounds, they regarded these people as animals by default back in a day when animal rights didn't exist...

You mangled up the quotes there a bit and gave me things I didn't say, but to be honest, I still agree with them anyway. I mangled them up? Also, your own statement doesn't make a lot of sense either, grammatically speaking. And there is no ambiguity about it: Nazi philosophy IS evil, inexcusable, ...

As for 'life' beginning at conception, that's just silly. The sperm was alive, the egg was alive, the zygote is alive, the embryo is alive, etc. The question is NOT about life; it's about personhood. Nor is it about being 'human' (adjective), but rather about being A human (noun). We cut out living...

What country did you live in and what was it better than the West in your opinion? I lived in Lebanon for several years. To the Lebanese government there, the people are nothing but unwanted garbage. I can't say the same about the American government or the British government or the Australian gove...

I personally don't support homosexuals adopting children because I support the idea that it's better for a child to grow up with both a male and a female parent. For the same reason, I object to single men or women adopting children. For that reason, I don't see why this is relevant to the discussi...

No it doesn't. Here in Belgium, civil union was legally adopted before we had gay marriage and this was applicable to both heterosexual and homosexual couples. The legal benefits are similar to that of married couples, but people in a civil union can seperate more easily than married people and don...

Wrong. Civil union can provide all the legal benefits needed. Civil unions would do one of two things... 1) Create a separate but equal union. This cannot legally happen since separate but equal is illegal in the United States No it doesn't. Here in Belgium, civil union was legally adopted before w...

First of all, this change and many other changes (eg. the legalisation of divorce with little to no conditions and the acceptance of pre-marital sex) to the concept of marriage have pretty much reduced it to a meaningless ritual. If marriage has been "reduced to a meaningless ritual", why are so ma...

Why don't you ask some some gay people if they are in control of their sexual preferences? I actually have and their answers seemed to be an obvious case of self-deception imo. Anyway, I addressed some of my encounters with lesbian women in another thread already : I've actually met quite a few les...

miscarriage is manslaughter!! Unless the miscarriage was provoked, I don't see how this can possibly apply. menstruation is negligent homicide! How do unfertilised eggs or sperm cells compare to a fertilised egg? First of all, this change and many other changes (eg. the legalisation of divorce with...
