Because it *is* weird for a 50 year old to be playing Animal Crossing and wearing Minnie Mouse T-shirts in public. I know NTs love to think all such people must be predators, but whatever.

It doesn't sound like he's that seriously ill, but these days you never know, especially when you're an old fossil.

If a girl touches your arm, it means she touched your arm.

Also a girl 18 and over is not a girl. She's a woman. Calling her a girl is infantilization, which is dehumanizing.

People really should not believe anything they see in the movies, and not just the stuff that's obviously not real, like hobbits or superheroes. But sadly, most people do. In some cultures, Hollywood movies and TV are about the only source of "information" people have about other countries...

It will be a very dark and difficult time for anyone who is non-white, non-Christian, female, LGBT, disabled or autistic. As if it wasn't dark and difficult enough as it is. Then there will be a pandemic of avian flu or bubonic plague and the horrors we had at the beginnings of the covid pandemic wi...

I'm thankful to be living in a country where, as a woman, I don't have to cover everything except my eyelids, especially in summer when it's over 30 degrees out. But I really don't want to walk around in public with nothing covered except my eyelids, either. 8) I'm 50 years old, it's a wonder I don'...

With my luck I'd suffer from horrible migraines and nosebleeds. Although I would like to have teleportation so I could go where ever I wanted without a vehicle. Although with my luck I would probably feel as tired as I would be if I had actually walked that distance, so teleporting myself to really ...

When I was a kid at school I was once very proud of being the only sinister student in my class. As in left-handed.

Last night I had an earache and the back of my neck and left shoulder hurt and as soon as I went to bed I got stomach pains and it's too hot to use a heating pad to sooth any of them. :( The heat and humidity is unbearable, every day the heat record is broken. The whole world is screwed. Even with t...

Nope. I want nothing to do with this show. Just let me watch in peace my Golden Age animation of Disney, Loony Tunes, and the occasional Max Fleischer cartoon.

I remember watching the movie on video and after about five minutes I was thoroughly disgusted and bored and didn't bother with the rest of it. My cousin, who was still a little girl, however, was pretty scared of tornadoes after seeing it.

Politifact rated posts about the shooting being staged as "Pants on Fire", so I guess I have no choice but to accept that it wasn't staged. But I still find it amusing that people are saying we shouldn't wish violence against politicians we "don't like" when there are millions of...

I just found out the young man who had shot Orange Man was described as having no previous criminal record and being quiet, very intelligent, and was bullied a lot in school. Sounds all too familiar. He was also a Republican. 8O And I am indeed a bad person because my sympathy for Orange Man and the...

When I was a child, I would see plenty of butterflies in the summer. At night I would see fireflies, which are not really flies, but beetles, glowing on my front lawn all summer long. Now if you see them at all you're lucky. It's because humans have been using so much pesticides on their lawns and g...
