I really like the "Marge vs. The Monorail" episode. Oh wait, it must be because I'm brainwashed. Because if you like anything it must mean you are brainwashed. Seriously, a cartoon? In the 90s I watched the classic Simpsons quite a bit, and I had horrible anxiety about Y2K and the w...

Some people have a tobacco smoking fetish where they don't just find the smoking itself sexy, they find all the gross, nasty and life-threatening health hazards of smoking sexy. Like getting smokers cough and their teeth and fingers getting stained or even their lungs turning black. Some people in t...

I know they put chlorine in swimming pools to kill germs, but I read somewhere that certain strains of bacteria are now immune to it, and people can get sick from being in the water. Especially kids, since they tend to swim more. I also once heard a Reddit story about some Karen mom who wanted to di...

It isn't really anything I didn't know already - scent-marking, showing trust and affection, socially bonding.

My cat Mischief loved head-rubbing. In fact I used to head rub him back a lot.

I don't really know anything about crypto. Except that it sounds like it can be used to weaken Superman. Or is that the name of his dog?

No, I feel extremely old when the younglings don't have a clue about anything that was popular from the 2010s or earlier. Or they make fun of you and call you a boomer if you remember. Or when they ask things like "What did people do while on the toilet before they had phones?" They've nev...

Why wasn't the life guard able to rescue the drowning hippie?

Because he was just too far out, maaan.

Maybe people have gone back in time, but they rapidly got younger and younger and then disappeared when they passed the date they were born. I remember in Calvin and Hobbes, Hobbes asked Calvin why this *didn't* happen to them when traveling back in time, and Calvin said "I'd explain it, but th...

I was going to open a can of tomato soup, and I couldn't find the can opener. I searched all through the kitchen and couldn't find it. Maybe I just put it somewhere that wasn't the kitchen, but I don't know. I managed to open the can with a knife, but if I don't find the can opener soon I'm going to...

I don't know I haven't watched the movie. But if a superhero had to smash right through my window to beat up some crook robbing my apartment and then untie me I'd be like, hey (superhero's name), I really appreciate you coming to my rescue, but couldn't you have just used the door? You do know how e...

I read that the man died later, and he clearly had mental health issues.

It takes a special kind of suicidal to deliberately set yourself on fire. That is not a pleasant way to die. And if you do survive it's going to feel like you're dying, even first degree burns are really painful.

Apparently not liking the bitter taste of some foods as an adult in society means you're childish and immature. And not just because your taste buds may be more sensitive than those of other adults.

And yet we supposedly childish and immature adults are probably less likely to get fatally poisoned.

I'm a "Disney adult", which is a million times more cringy than being a Looney Tunes adult. I walk around in public shamelessly wearing t-shirts with Mickey or Minnie Mouse while carrying a Minnie shopping bag. I like many other cartoons from The Golden age of animation as well. I have plu...

I was not very active as a child and would rather read, draw, watch TV or role-play with my toys. My mother grew up in an era when parents made their kids practically live outdoors, especially summer, and she was always trying to get me to go outside more and run around because of my weight problem....

Canada also has its own personification named Johnny Canuck. In early political cartoons he was portrayed as the younger cousin of Uncle Sam and John Bull, and was often shown resisting their bullying.
