little big man. one for the ages, that one. the director arthur penn and screenwriter calder willingham did an ace job cramming the high points of the novel into a blockbuster of a film. not for the kiddies though, despite the PG rating. the graphic violence was clearly equal to something R-rated.

i have tried the various techniques i've read about in many different lucid dreaming books, to no avail, not even close. it makes me think that some power above is blocking me, a higher spiritual power might be thinking i lack sufficient self-discipline/maturity to astrally travel responsibly.

^^^ did the contrabassoon take a lungful of air? i played the contralto clarinet [a sort of contrabass-lite] in Eb, it took relatively little air to get as loud as it could get. it was hard to make it squawk even with V2 reeds.
