Not sure if that is autism or not, sounds more like you're a highly sensitive person with maybe social anxiety.

Well Thankfully I had a much better car trip today so we might be getting somewhere.

Good to hear. :)

You're only 18. It will get better. I was lonely and unemployed when I was 18. Now I'm 32 and have come a looong way. Just hang in there.

The "scale of -1 to +10 how are you feeling?" thread in the haven is not one of my favourites because the numbers confuse me and I prefer to say how I'm feeling using words. But there's nothing wrong with the thread as it's a good thread to have as a sticky in the haven but just not for me.

I just feel my mum was like my double. While I do have other close, loving relatives that I love, a lot of them seem to be into Kate Bush and smoking weed and going to festivals and other stuff I'm not at all into. I don't know, maybe I'm exaggerating, but lately my cousins seem preoccupied in that ...

How do you tell when a NT might be Lying ……( their mouth is moving) Just teasing ….. uhm ,,,,mostly  (Written in jest,) Yes I get the invisibility issue too . :| Well, um...hard to explain... :) Sometimes lies are believable, otherwise nobody would bother telling lies at all. There'...

This is why I have given up on having too much empathy for everybody and trying to make the world a happy place. It seems that's what Aspies do and want others to do. I know it's nice and everything but sometimes it's better to just think of yourself instead of everybody else. That's what I'm starti...

I actually dislike directness and bluntness and I'm hardly ever direct or blunt in daily social interaction because I'm too sensitive to their feelings. I actually get frustrated with people who are too direct or blunt, which is why I sometimes have to think before starting new threads here. Can yo...

He was not drunk just to be clear he was just drinking a very small amount while we were going about 80 but he was under the influence while he was texting and veering onto the shoulder and almost leaving the roadway multiple times and going into the other lane multiple times. Yer well that's dange...

What does it mean by focusing too much on detail though? I mean, if writers got to the point all the time then stories would be fairly short. I find books have too much detail, or require detail, that I often struggle to pay attention with, which is why I don't read many books. Also I think anyone w...

No you were not wrong, they were wrong. I don't know how drunk your dad was but driving over the limit is illegal and so is texting or being on your phone whilst driving. He was putting everybody's lives at risk in the car. Yes I know so many drivers probably aren't 100% sober, we all know that, but...

You're just socially awkward, not socially clueless. I'm socially awkward too. I pick up social cues OK but there are some things that I'm supposed to do that I find difficult, like being curious/interested without being mistaken for nosy, even though I can usually tell the difference when someone e...

That a penny-farthing bike is called that because of the wheel shapes looking like a penny and a farthing. I always thought it was called that because it cost a penny and a farthing back in the day.

I thought this thread was asking us if we could physically hatch eggs and if it's an Aspie thing.
