I wish my ears weren't so sensitive to certain sounds. Today in the supermarket this toddler let out an ear-splitting scream and I had to shield my ear nearest to it because it hurt . I hate when people give me pragmatic crap like "oh kids will always scream, there's nothing you can do about it...

Yes. I was unemployed for the first 5 years of my adult life even though I was applying for jobs. Then when I was 22 a job came up cleaning at a care home. It wasn't what I wanted to do because I have a fear of viruses, and care homes are notorious for viruses and worse. But I was more or less force...

I get even more scared going out at night because I don't like the drunks and druggies and obnoxious teens that lurk about. My city is renowned for such crime at night and people are advised not to walk out alone at night.

I'm not into anime myself and know nothing about it. I'm more into The Simpsons, South Park, Inbetweeners, Outnumbered.and Grange Hill. :) South Park had a great episode pertaining to atheism which I truly enjoyed, I didn't ever expect that but it was cool and pretty deep, also about relationships....

I've had therapy sessions for this but it didn't really work, as I missed a few sessions because of my sleep trouble and needing more sleep in the morning so having to cancel some appointments to catch up on lost sleep. During the therapy sessions I did attend, the therapist was helpful and all that...

I don't like Whoopi Goldberg because she does big burps and farts on live TV. I get grossed out when people do that in public or on TV.

I watched the movie Wonder the other day, and it got me thinking how much I can relate to the little boy with a deformed face. I am not deformed, I have a normal face, but I might as well have a deformed face by how I get treated when I'm in public. People stare, I can feel it without me having to l...

I used to nibble a lot, meaning (in human terms) going to the larder in between meals and eating things like biscuits and chocolate. But being so I've become the fattest in my family and it's not making me feel good mentally, I've gone on a diet. Naturally I'm supposed to be a thin person, so being ...

I love British TV shows but weirdly enough I have only heard of one in the poll, which is Keeping Up Appearances. But you can't beat British humour (except for cartoons, I like American cartoon sitcoms). I love Inbetweeners, Outnumbered, Friday Night Dinner, On The Buses, Absolutely Fabulous, Bottom...

Even though NTs usually take it personally when an Aspie doesn't want to talk to them.

Not quite sure what the discussion with Moe or whatever it is all about, but nobody in this thread has said anything hurtful or offensive. I'm not really interested in anime but still nothing offensive here.

I get on with NTs. I'm quite well-liked everywhere I go, but I just don't seem to form close friendships with NTs, especially the average sort of NTs that focus less on what sort of person you are and more on how much you speak and how much like them you are and how many questions you ask about them...
