I don't see anyone or any group to be privileged in any society that is free and democratic. I see every citizen as equal, and "privilege" or "advantage" are just relative terms.
They are not objective. They are not absolutes.

I've noticed a few over the years. The Lawnmower Man film had absolutely no resemblance to the short story by Stephen King. Jumper invented characters and a whole storyline that wasn't in the book. The Beach - changed characters from English to American and vice versa - made up a new ending (which I...

Love this show. It's "Game of Thrones" in Roman times. One of those shows where the episode ends, and you nearly break your mouse trying to select "Next Episode" because the cliffhanger was that good. :-P Yeah, that is true. They are so good at making you need to know what happe...

Mine is Super Mario Brothers (1993). I have watched it many times and can't see anything wrong with it. But most people hated it and even Bob Hoskins said it's one of his major embarrassments.

I thought he was a fantasist. I think he was fantasising about killing those people but didn't do it really. He was delusional. But i see what you mean about the obsession with topics like Whitney Houston and Huey Lewis and the News. Maybe the writer decided to throw in those odd traits along with t...

Fifty Shades of Grey is abuse of literature and now its been turned over to cinema's to abuse movie goers. I read some of the book but had to stop because it was so poorly written that I felt I would become an idiot if I continued. If women like to be abused let them, if men want to do the abuse let...

I recall it being called the Credit Crunch and that banks stopped lending money, even to each other. Not sure I want to go right down the rabbit hole though, I am just interested in how our governments propose to tackle this system, if they ever will do.

At this late hour, I haven't got time to watch the video but hope it contains the information that most countries of the world, like America or Britain for instance, don't create their own money, private individuals of the banking families do, they create it out of nothing and lend it to the govern...

What is most interesting in the video is what he says about the debt ceiling. If our governments are always raising the debt ceiling then why do they moan about us living within our means, or warn us about our deficit spending? It appears that we can go on raising the debt ceiling indefinitely and i...

I don't think Crassus turns up until the 3rd series. If you are only on the 1st series you have a way to go but the second series is only 10 episodes. The production seems to get better too, almost as good as a high budget movie. And the original actor from series 1 dies so they have to replace him ...

I think the film focuses on caricatures to make it clear in what it is saying. Plus it is all from the point of view of the teenagers so the adults are obviously going to be shown in a negative light. I think the film is great and is probably the first real teen film.
