Thank-you for the kind replies :)

I don't think he has ASD . . . he might, but I suspect not as he's actually quite good with people (compared to me, anyway). I guess I should read about some of the things he studies - that might help.

xXx

I'm having a really hard time at the moment because my boyfriend of nine years started a PhD course in England (whereas I live in Scotland) and so I only see him at the weekend. I don't have a job because of Autism, PTSD and related mental problems, and I frankly don't enjoy being around people who ...

Hello, A good friend of mine forwarded me this set of questionnaires as part of a study he’s doing on sensory processing in autism. I know everyone likes to take this sort of thing and so I thought I’d post it on here, too. There are questionnaires that I didn’t recognise, but you get all your score...

I always disliked having visitors, or indeed visiting anyone myself. Often I would get into trouble for accidentally being rude or disrespectful, so the whole thing was tense and stressful for me.

I would have said that a friend is someone who would be willing to spend time with you for the sake of being in your company, whereas an acquaintance will pass pleasantries with you when you are thrown together by circumstance, but otherwise you go your separate ways.

Come on! You're far better looking than most people. Lovely clear skin, nice, balanced features and bone structure, full head of thick hair - lots of people would be jealous of these things! Who calls you ugly, exactly? Are you sure you're not over-analysing harmless things that people say - you kno...

It depends though. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn, so if you are out of shape, you are going to burn fewer calories no matter what. Exercise also speeds up your metabolism. So it seems to me like it would make a difference. I think eating less without exercising would be a har...

It's not that it does no good - just not as much as you'd think. According to my cross trainer monitor thirty minutes on it burns roughly 100 calories, which is nothing, really. Of course exercise will help the process along a bit, but I still think that eating less is the most important thing.

No, I think it's disgusting and I can't stand the smell.

The title of this post made me laugh :) I don't think exercise by itself is all that useful, really, as far as weight loss goes . . . you can run around the apartment complex all you want but if you eat too much it will make no difference. Additionally, you can't reduce fat in any one area. Weight l...

I won't be watching it - The Royal Family really annoy me. They have lots of money for no good reason whatsoever.

I feel a bit bad leaving things, but not terrible as I can just keep whatever it is in the fridge and have it later. I think I like to finish food because I like to adhere to a sort of mental 'neatness' - it's a strange sort of perfectionism. I also like to finish tasks I set myself, like cleaning o...

Ha, I had to look up what 'bumping' was and how it worked. Such a luddite  . Sorry, I thought it was just a pointless comment.
