Pabalebo, let me give you a real-world, practical example. I'm a single mom, 45, with a full-time job and a varying custody schedule. Any free time I have is devoted to going to the gym or having much-needed alone time at home. My job consists of me staring at my computer all day, every day. If I ta...

Is it bad that I always manage to read "plentyoffish" as "plenty-offish"? {As in, there's plenty that's "off" about these people?}

Just a good-natured jibe, everyone...

It sounds like he enjoys your company but can no longer handle (by choice) the rights and responsibilities that go along with something more involved. Hugs. It's a sad position to be in, I'm sure. Be grateful for his friendship, if you still enjoy his company and can find it within yourself to cut o...

No, I KNOW I'm intimidating. I'm sorry you're going through this, I think it's sometimes part of the whole theory of mind / empathy package that we lack. I especially have trouble at work when people are idiots. I've learned to change my communication style and approach, drastically, bu...

I guess I'm lucky. I had no side effects on it, they even had to prescribe it in conjunction with something because it wasn't working quickly enough on its own! I was already on anti-depressants when I took Accutane, but I was in my early 30s, not my teens.

Rats, it looks like Accutane was yanked from the U.S. market back in 2009.

I agree with the trying to eliminate or reduce sugar in one's diet. That can help some people in acne management.

Have you guys tried Accutane (isotretinoin)? It worked wonders for me, when nothing else did. It's kind of a drastic measure, but since acne is largely the result of a hormone imbalance, there's not much you can do. metaldanielle, since I'm a girl and Accutane causes severe birth defects, the doctor...

I know this thread is about Kick boxing. But does any one here do old school boxing? It's my 21st next month and rather than a huge party am thinking about asking my folks to pull a few strings and get me into boxing with some of the local greats. But even though I'm actually going through the proc...

My doctor was appalled at my Vitamin D levels (everything else was normal) and so put me on prescription, "catch-up" levels of Vitamin D, which I've been taking over the last few months. I have not lost ounce one. But then I don't typically lose weight without a ton of effort: for example, I didn't ...

Hmmm, I've lived in a grade C city and a grade A city, and I've never noticed any difference (cities are just cities to me). Furthermore, I love eating in restaurants alone. It makes for GREAT people-watching. I've never had trouble dining alone. I eat in restaurants alone about 1x a week. - Female

You must be one foxy lady, mv. Bwah! It's true that in my earlier days a lot of people approached me because of my physical attributes, but never anyone who actually *knew* me. I had no boyfriends in high school or college, for example, just a lot of encounters that didn't pan out. I was much too w...

I wouldnt agree with that. Personally I am atheist. But that doesnt mean for me, that I have to oppose people believing in a God. I dont care for it, so why should they hide their beliefs from me? Also there is much about christianity and other religions, that is a good thing. So I totally agree wi...
