Finally diagnosed and the few people I have told reacted by saying things like everyone is autistic / we are all on the spectrum and that they think they are autistic themselves.
Wondered how true this is? |

I was underweight for a long time and struggled with bulimia but when I got into my 40s as someone else mentioned my metabolism seemed to shut down and

I feel very similar to the OP. I thought I had borderline, avoidant or schizoid personality disorder. I have both social awkwardness and social anxiety so it's hard to work out where my social impairment stems from. I mimic. I have learnt to make eye contact and how to ask how someone is, etc .. so ... |

Have moved area which is great I don't know anyone I love anonymity but if someone does try to start a conversation with me I won't just ignore them. A woman who lives on the same street has started chatting to me. I find it really awkward. I want to chat to seem friendly but find it hard to know ho... |

I've read about Aspies not being able to interpret body language / facial expression well, etc. I also have a problem with less subtle non verbal communication. When I was working and my boss signalled to put a call through to him I struggled to understand him and had get up off my chair and go ask ... |
