Where should one go, then, to hit on Asian girls? If you don't see any asian girls at your school or work place, maybe a library or coffee shop? And I guess any other place asian people hang out that is more social. Where I live they are in libraries a lot because a lot of them are students, otherw...

Well, I go to the Asian markets to buy my: Bean sprouts Lychees Persimmons Mochi from Taiwan because it's cheaper than Japanese mochi (jdm tyte tax) Iced tea Tea Chinese medicine Actually, if I had my way, I'd probably just do ALL my shopping at the Asian supermarket, but alas I don't have my own w...

I don't know... if I did something that bothered my husband to the point where it was hurting him at that level, I would just want him to be honest with me and let me know when I'm crossing the line. I think she could probably get used to switching her words around from 'sucks' to 'bothers me' etc. ...

I'm an east-asian female married to a white male so maybe I could weigh in? I used to be one of those asian girls that only hung out with asians back in high school, and as you say it created a very weird effect on my mentality hanging out exclusively within my ethnic group like that. I think I agre...

Question for AS people: If you're in a marriage or long-term relationship equivalent, do you have any wants and/or expectations from it? If yes, what? If you're not currently in such a relationship, what would you want and/or expect from one? For example, as an NT I think I grew up with some fairly ...

... is nt more forgiving for lies than spectrum ppl? I once had to explain to my husband that there's a difference between malicious lies and excusable lies, at least to me (NT). I used my co-worker as an example. My co-worker is trying to quit smoking and he tells his wife that he's quit smoking, ...

I'm NT. I think what you're describing is more of a cultural observation.
In East Asian cultures for example intellectualism is still prized, although they'd prefer you exercise it with humility.

This is really interesting, I wish someone would do a study on it.
My husband is German-Italian and a lot of his 'German' characteristics overlap with his AS symptoms :)

You get clingy because you worry too much about having friends/girlfriends. Don't worry about it so much and focus on the things you like. Once you're out of school and you have a job (thanks to focusing on things you like) you are more likely to meet people that are interested in the same things as...

I think I know what you mean. I'm NT and my relationships with other NTs were all very similar even though the people themselves were so different. It's almost like both of us knew the script to a 'relationship' and we just had to play our parts. In a NT-NT relationship it was a lot easier to read e...

You sound so much like me in the beginning of my relationship with my husband :) Especially the walking along the beach bit. I remember I asked my husband to walk on the beach once. We walked to the beach, then he stopped, stood there and said "now what?" hahah.. it hurt at the time but now I look b...

I think you should just be yourself and tell both her and your friend what you think.
Say it as nicely as you can, like in a compliment sandwich.

If she likes you she should just respect you more for being true to yourself.

I'm NT and to me you sound like you are way more interested in yourself than in any girl you might date.
Can't speak for AS girls but as an NT girl, I like to feel that I'm special to the guy for who I am, not because I fit any type as a result of an experiment.

I feel for you, you sound like you genuinely love him and he probably knows how lucky he is to have the love of someone like you. :) Joker is right, aspie brains behave a little bit like computers sometimes- once it's programmed a certain way it seems to take a long time to change it. If he's been i...
