Like stated before me, it really depends on the person. For me personally, what I want in a relationship is a companion and activity partner, as well as someone who understands that while I appreciate physical affection and intimacy, it's not something I go out of my way to either give or seek. I te...

I'd play more MMOs if I could find people I actually enjoy playing them with. Plus, my desktop PC is ancient by today's standards, and can't even play he latest generation of games that don't run on Windows XP. I need a new PC, but don't have any money for it.

For me, it's a toss-up between Alyx and Jade. I think Jade wins out though, since we get to see more facets of her personality throughout the game than we get to see of Alyx.

I'm not a humongous fan of Dark Souls, but I certainly don't hate it. I've played about a dozen hours or so of it, and here are my thoughts on it: 1. What you're referring to as "luck", fueldbycoffee, is actually timing. In order to succeed, you have to pretty much master timing. You have to master ...

Got a question for you all: How do you think I should best handle the language transition/subtitles for a movie I'm writing the script for? OK, well, a little bit of background info, first. The whole movie takes place in Afghanistan, and it's about a US pararescueman who gets left behind during a pa...

Also understand that the market for this kind of game is fairly small. So if you’re trying to sell the product, your marketable audience will be small to start with. I'm not trying to win any awards with it or anything; I just want to make a game I'd want to play. If other people out there happen t...

Well, it's not very useful to discuss which option would be best until we know who the target audience would be anyway. I'm aiming for a target audience of people who enjoy adventure-puzzle games like the Myst series (particularly, RealMyst and Myst IV and V) who're probably in their late teens, an...

I'm working on some of the game mechanics for Starfall, the 3D puzzle adventure game I'm still developing in some of my spare time, and I've hit a rather controversial one, by today's standards of implementation. The idea is that throughout the game, the player will come across in-game texts that pr...

I suppose this could also go under School and College Life, since it has to do with the film apprenticeship program I'm in, or even Social Skills and Making Friends, but here goes... So, as part of the film apprenticeship program I'm in, I'm doing research and writing the script for a feature-length...

A terrible-quality photo taken with my phone, but it does give you an idea of what I look like... http://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/p206x206/532000_10151218882935826_1841265955_n.jpg Another, better-quality one from about a year ago, now. http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc...

Anyone else here into 3D modeling, at all? I find it to be just a natural extension of my interest in games and game design, as well as my interest in filmmaking, to an extent. I'm learning to use Blender, and I've been teaching myself to do so for about a month or so, now. My interest in its uses a...

Nope. It's open to anyone who wants to join, whenever. Actually organizing it and doing all the logistics fell by the wayside for a few months, but I'm trying to pick it back up again and actually get things moving, now that I'm feeling better again.

A shameless necropost, but I've got a lot of free time on my hands right now, and my mood has been much better and quite stable for a month or so, as well, so I figured I'd try to revive this idea. So, starting off, I'm taking a new poll: What edition or off-shoot of D&D would everyone be intere...

Not sure if it counts, since it's only a demo track I just started it this morning, but it's kind of worth noting, considering it actually sounds half-decent.

I do that all the time. It's probably kind of creepy to some people, but I actually look for and collect photos from the internet of people that resemble the characters, as I see them in my head.

I just listened to Aesthetic Perfection - Inhuman. Just curious - how do they classify this? Electronica? It sounds new wave-ish like Ministry except for the screamo bits. Wikipedia classifies AP as electronic-industrial, but I hear both some new wave and futurepop in Inhuman, as well as dance. Mos...
