I live in Connecticut and it is the same here. Adult services are only available to the wealthy.
Mental health services go away when you become and adult here.

I had severe anxiety a couple months ago and looked into getting therapy.
But I figured it out before I found a therapist. 8O

Clothes are designed to fit different body shapes, hence the need for some to wear silicone bodysuits to get the appearance they desire.

I used to alter clothes to fit me. I've been able to find clothes that fit me fine just off the rack!

What I've been able to do is to learn new things.
Every five years or so I learn how to do something new.
Ten years ago I learned to cook. Now I can tell the pizza is done by the way it smells, even when I forget to set the timer.
A couple years I started learning how to play golf.

I find it helpful to keep track of doctor appointments with a One Year Calendar on the refrigerator. I will look at the calendar when I cook stuff and see what I need to do that day. I had meltdowns when I was recovering from a catastrophic illness and was easily stressed to my limits. It may be pos...

There was a "golden age" of science after World War 2. Male professors got to teach Baby Boomers and do scientific research. They had female assistants to help them out because women were underemployed. By the 1980s there were a lot of talented people chasing the few science jobs that were...

The other needed a service dog.

I garden outside in freezing weather wearing fleece lined pants! I also have flannel lined jeans for shopping in cold weather. I also have a couple dozen sweaters. Some of them are very thick and quite warm. I live in a 3 bedroom ranch home. Costs me $240 a month for oil heat and another $60 a month...
