Start off with mini projects that you can complete. Get into the habit of doing stuff to completion.
A great example of a small project. Pixar Lamp, 12 seconds

Continue saving for maintenance and repairs. Stuff will break. Over time the roof and driveway will need to be replaced. All part of owning your own home. |

The Covid-19 vaccines seemed to have effectively stopped the Pandemic. As I recall I got four shots. I went to a National Conference with 250 people at the banquet and did not get sick! Two full days. One attendee came down with Covid at the end of the event but apparently did not pass it on to anyo... |

Good to hear that you can relax in your job and that it isn't a hostile environment. Many of us make the mistake of doing too much work instead of observing their co-workers to see how much work is required. Doing too work much often triggers hostility. This can be a good opportunity to get a more p... |

Some of us handle social interactions based on rules, rather than reading the facial expressions and body language of the people we are talking to like normal people. When folks swear they are breaking the rules and this causes anxiety because our social interactions are based on rules. It is hard f... |

I'd suggest wearing golfing clothes. They come in a wide variety of fabrics so you may be able to find something that works for you. Many golfers play in the summer when it is very hot and need fabrics that will handle sweat. They can be less expensive on Ebay if you don't mind country club logos. I... |

Puerto Ricans voting for Harris would be a very significant voting bloc in swing states. There would be a lot of pressure for everyone to do so given the obvious disrespect they have received. |

I think it was a miscalculation by Donald Trump. He knows that Puerto Rico is a territory with no electoral votes, so he assumed he could target them. He did it in the past, cutting hurricane response relief and seemingly got away with it! He lacks the smarts to realize that many now reside in swing... |

People with autism typically have very uneven skill sets. They can do some things very easily and run into issues with other things that normal people find easy. Look for jobs that require stuff you do easily and allows you to avoid stuff you can't do. I found that I had a lot of trouble with meetin... |

Perhaps these activites aren't as interesting or enjoyable as they once were? There is now a lot of good online content. One can binge watch on the best episodes of television shows. In the past we would have to patiently wait to see how a story arc would conclude. Now we no longer have to wait! Whe... |

The big issue with an autism diagnosis is that it doesn't help normal people understand you! But, if you are with someone long enough they will figure it out on their own. If you know one person with autism you know one person with autism. The autism spectrum is too complicated for your boss to unde... |

Could you do volunteer work at the Corning Museum of Glass? Many of us find it easier to socialize as docent. Maybe you could help with prep/cleanup work at the museum assisting with classes?
Professional golf relies on volunteers to do a lot of work involved in holding events. |

Travel is hard for a lot of us. We would do long trips and then shorter ones as my partner became increasingly disabled. Maybe that could be reversed. Start out with short trips and work towards doing longer ones. Many places have local attractions that you could go to. There are local nature areas ... |

Yes, it it is exhausting, which is why some stores offer special hours for those on the spectrum. It may help to do only a little at a time. Sometimes a store will be really busy. I'll turn around and come back later! |
