Changing my gender presentation to match my voice and mannerisms has made it much easier to socialize! Seems obvious but it took me decades to figure out!
Trying to match my birth gender put me in the "uncanny valley" between male and female. |

Some ideas. Stay only a short time. Sit off to one side where it is quieter. Sometimes sitting in the front row of a presentation is best because it is easier to tune out distractions. Make sure you get plenty of sleep before going! Layer your clothes so you can easily adjust to the temperature. |

A very useful relationship skill is learning to listen to a partner. Obviously you can't do that if you are constantly talking about your special interest. |

Since your father is rich, maybe you can convince him you need to get out more to develop your social skills. Perhaps doing tourist type activities to help the local economy as our current administration seems to have scared them away. I know a girl who is a "level 3" or severely disabled ... |

Several years ago, I had a coworker whom seemed to be trying to be trying to pursue me. But I was completely turned off by her. She was a large, burley, high testosterone woman; everything about her was the exact opposite of what I find attractive in women. Romance novels are filled with women who ... |

Most likely they have all they need for their careers as archaeologists. Why not leave some work for future generati... |

I went to Brooks Brothers at a mall in the 1990s and they wouldn't sell me a suit! I was too small for anything to fit properly in the men's or boy's department.
Now that I have gained twenty pounds I can now wear the smallest women's sizes. |

I have some very nice golf clothes as well as a set of custom golf clubs.
The last summer of work they put in a dress code that no longer allowed shorts. But, it allowed wearing skirts to work. Yes, I shaved my legs.

Minneapolis and Chicago are two walkable cities that don't cost a lot to live in. There are likely to be better forums to discussing moving, as folks with autism often need support networks to keep them tied to a location. The big exceptions are people moving for relationships.
