Have you tried replying to these insufficient responses by saying "I know all about A and B, but I dont see how A and B leads to C"? To be honest, not this time. I have tried that tack before though; it always seems to lead the discussion down a rabbit hole where I get further and further...

We true Aussies a diametrically opposed to the horrible English habit of drinking warm ale. Even on the coldest Melbourne nights I drink my beer icy cold Ive heard that that is a misconception. That Brits DON'T drink beer 'warm'. They drink it "room temperature". And "room temperatur...

Have you tried ordering chew necklaces and encouraging the use of that. They also have pencil toppers for in school. My son had the same issue and it went down drastically when he started wearing his necklace. For the first week i kept him within seeing distance and wore one of my own as much as po...

A certain amount of "self love" is vital to survival. But like everything else in life it can be taken to pathological extremes.

Its the pathological extreme that is named after the character Narcissus in Greek mythology, and is given that diagnostic label.

Thats it. End of discussion.

I recall very distinctly a conversation I had when I was younger. We were at an amusement park where they had "Keel Boat Rides." I had one of my frequent sparks of curiosity and wanted to know what a Keel is, and what made a Keel Boat different from any other type of boat. So I asked. I d...

I thought that the "diagnosed in childhood" set were the majority here. Most of the posters here are older adults, middle aged and up. There used to be a lot of young posters here but they all seemed to have disappeared and they were pretty much diagnosed as children. I am one of the few ...

This is a grotesque topic of celebrating someone's death. Frankly nobody is celebrating, he's dead, deal with it. Gloating? "Gloating" is an English word of similar meaning, where "gloat" means "to observe or think about something with triumphant and often malicious satisfa...

Surely by 2021 NASA can come up with more efficient propulsion system for a Mars probe than a rotary blade? You are hoping for ornithopters, maybe? Frank Herbert was a great writer, but not much of an engineer, I’m afraid. He was probably thinking more along the lines of the family cars in the Jets...

Anybody try remembering sleep dreams where one feels NT-like?

Dream descriptions of feeling NT-like might just be of interest here on WP!

That is meaningless. To "feel NT" in a dream. I always "feel NT" awake or asleep, even though I am diagnosed aspergers.
