Seems like every time i have a deadline for a project I wind up doing it at the last minute. Not sure if its an anxiety issue, a time management issue, and organization issue, or D) all of the above. Banking on the latter at this point. If you struggled with the same problem and are now super produc...

It's for a school project, believe it or not. I am going to make a small Wordpress site that has a couple articles and a webcomic that goes into detail what it means to be an American as well as an Aspie. This forum is made with the intent of brainstorming ideas as well as collecting topics of inter...

I need both constructive criticisms and approval of things that actually work. Suggestions are also welcome Here it is [youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JIgJEVyw20[/you...

I'm sure most of you have heard, if not experienced the state of "flow"? Being challenged enough to reach peak interest and skilled enough to work consistently without correcting yourself. I've managed to do this a few times, but never consistently enough to break my ATROCIOUS procrastination habits...

Sounds like you need a project.

Try creating something; can be anything from a drawing to a journal to a program or anything else you might know how to make. That'll keep you focused.

What subject did you take in school? That should give you an idea of what to start.

This seems as good a place as any. Here is something I originally wrote for Chuck Wendig's "Flash Ficition Challenge", but I think also belongs on a site like this. The challenge was to make a story 1000 words or less about a character made on the Random Fantasy Generator. Wendig has a real thing fo...

I am a college student who is studying the art of speed reading. Not for school, of course, but for general reading. I basically am looking for tips and tricks that will help me read faster and spend less time on books and more time on homework. I know that many of you do it naturally, and I have AS...

Thank you for your kind words Unfortunately, my exposure to "my people" proved disastrous; I have one kid in my class who constantly said Adolf Hitler was a genius and another who was an outspoken Atheist, Anarchist, and Misanthrope, despite not knowing what any of those words mean. They were both e...

I had session training at a very young age, and studied both body language and psychology, so my social skills can almost outmatch NTs. I can carry out a conversation; start one, make a funny joke, and end one politely. I can tell when something is on somebodys mind, and even discern how they feel b...

Its nice to see that not all neuroscientists are willing to wipe away autism, but I think they need to spend less time researching the differences and more time understanding the similarities. I.E. understand what makes NTs act like autistic Savants and vice versa. It's hard to diagnose anyone who d...

I know what it means technically, of course; it means you have asperger's or a similar condition on the autistic spectrum. But what does it mean for the person who is one? How do you know if you have it or if you don't? I ask this for three main reasons; one, I was diagnosed with full spectrum autis...

Try reading the Animator's Survival Kit.

You'll like it. It's written by the same man who directed Who Framed Rodger Rabbit as an animator.

Enjoy, and be sure to click on the link

I think it is BECAUSE you have problems with social interaction that you will not only write good dialogue, but great dialogue. Especially if the characters are in a science fiction universe. Writing fiction is not anything like writing an essay or a news journal or anything like that. People don't ...

Sooner or later we will be the counter culture of the 21st century.

We will definitely be unexpected and more then the world could handle.

But if they can accept us, benefits will come not just for Aspies, but human beings as a whole
