Telling people you have a school routine and home routine won't do. You have to show what they are. That's the hard part though. I'm not really sure how to explain it at all. D: I am going to try to show it as much as I can... if I have to, I'll post something on Homework and Autism so they get an ...

Another song, that's not really supposed to be for someone with a disability... but it does fit, especially those with Autism is Me Against the World by Simple Plan. I relate to this song so much because I feel like because I am different from everyone else, far from being normal that I'm against t...

I was posting an embeded video to a topic and it brought me to some security page where I had to enter a captcha. I did this and it sent me to another one and another and so one. I know they were right too... and it still kept bringing me to another one each time. I really don't like captchas becaus...

Sorry, I know I post a lot about my stories here... but you guys are the only ones that I know will understand. D: I have asked a couple of my NT friends but they aren't online right now. So I need some advice. I need to know if this explains enough about routine and changes: My mind went into overd...

I'm generally not a perfectionist, but I am when it comes to writing a post on the internet too. I can't let there be a mistake. I don't know how some people can have an obvious mistake in their title and don't do anything about it, like missing out a letter in a word and not notice it. Really anno...

I'd personally interpret it as wanting to get things right... rather than wrong, which is unacceptable... but in the end it is all the same sorta thing. Well, I'm not really sure what causes it either. I always feel like it's more disabling than anything. It's like, I can't seem to get things just ...

I've always been a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to writing. I am never satisfied with what I write and I am always redoing what I write or say. It's a habit that I've always had. The hard part is that this always seems to cause me problems when I am writing since, if it's not perfect, I give...

I don't think bullies would ask about homework; not generally their topic. But let's keep the action as you outlined. Use less description, allow the reader to feel what the character feels without telling the reader what the character is feeling and thinking. Also I strongly believe that bullies d...

Hello! John Steinbeck once said that if you ever have trouble writing dialogue you should say it out loud as you write it. I think there's a webpage on it, here, I'll link it. http://www.brainpickings.org/index.php/2012/03/12/john-steinbeck-six-tips-on-writing/ "Forget your generalized audience. In...

In 99.9% of cases in which a person is socially awkward, and yet, incredibly smart, they are autistic. I don't think this is true. In fact I think only a very small percentage of those who are socially awkward and very smart are diagnosable with ASD. They might have some traits of ASD........but I'...

I think the issue is more that we don't really understand the scene-the dialogue isn't bad, but the framing prose is. Did bullies actually rip up your math homework though? That's rough. lol... no. XD I kind of made that up. I need to try and think of scenarios for what the bullies do to my charact...

In 99.9% of cases in which a person is socially awkward, and yet, incredibly smart, they are autistic. Moreover, autism has been related to psychopathy and sociopathy, although it does not imply that even a significant percent of autistics have it. Nevertheless, I believe without a doubt Adam Lanza...

That's what pisses me off. The fact that this CT shooter was said to have AS and the media jumped on it like vultures really just... ugh. It feeds into the ignorance of people that literally think that a person with Autism is going to go out there and kill someone because of their condition. -_- I c...

I always thought this song fit those with psychosis/Schizophrenia/bipolar disorder. I guess it could fit people with a disability.
