I don't care whether or not circumcision has a few benefits for the child. If it isn't necessary for the child's survival, it shouldn't be done until he can consent to it (as if he would).

I was a Barbie nazi. I'd strip my Barbies naked and feed them to my stuffed animals. Sometimes I'd just organize them in particular orders, though, or set up scenes with them.

17 was one of the worst ages of my life. I wish I was 10 or 11 again. Those were my best years.

I love that name! :D

Yeah, but it only sounds good in French. I live in the United States. People here would butcher it. I think it sounds awful with an American pronunciation.

My mom said that she would have named me "Zoel" if I had been a boy. As for my girl name, I'm very thankful that I got "Chantal". My dad insisted on naming me "Genevieve"! :x

I think that I should have been home schooled. I've always wanted to be, but my parents didn't have the time.

I'd call that wisdom. Cognitive ability does tend to deteriorate over the years, especially if you don't look after yourself. Yes, but that's what I meant by "smart". Kruger4 stated that he wasn't talking about cognitive ability: not in IQ but in social awareness and in understanding the world and ...

I think that what makes Muslim culture more violent than Christian culture at the moment is that: 1. Christianity went through an Enlightenment period that Islam never had. 2. Countries with large Christian populations keep religion and government separate (for the most part) 3. Christians tend to i...

All I have to do to get a basic gist of where you live is type the name of your school into Google. What if I were a bad person and were interested in stalking you? With just a little more information, I could probably even pinpoint your exact address. You should be careful about what you post on th...

So not only are they trying to turn something that isn't criminal into a crime, but they're also trying to convict Assange of doing something that wasn't even a crime when he did it. That isn't justice, it's almost tyranny.

I don't think there's any such thing as an unbiased news source. It isn't safe to put all of your trust into one source. It's best to look at several different sources and then form a more well-rounded opinion. "Fair and Balanced" is just a marketing ploy, like all of the processed and chemically en...

I'm here. I just do more reading than typing. At the moment, I'm more interested in learning from all of you than arguing. I'm new to politics and am not quite ready to argue over them. And plus, there are probably more males on this entire site than there are females simply because autism is more c...

Independent. I think that the best thing to do when choosing who to vote for is to look at ALL of the available candidates, including the third party candidates and independent candidates. Just because a candidate is from a party that supposedly represents your views doesn't mean he does or will whe...

If it were possible to cure something like autism, the people who want the cure should be able to get the cure while the people who don't want it shouldn't be forced to have it. While some people thrive on autism, others only experience misery as a result of it.

My favorite solution: having fewer possessions. Having fewer possessions means having less stuff to sort through. I only keep my favorite items and give my other items to charity. My second favorite solution: not leaving messes. The dishes can't pile up if I wash them every time I use them. The hous...
