Your mother is awful. She does not deserve to be let off the hook. Chances are, she would make the same mistake again. She should have known never to make assumptions about ANYONE. As for the lying thing, what she did was abuse, plain and simple. The yelling at you for being you and the transferring...

Another quick note: I don't want the little autism I have to go away, it is not the problem, so what does it matter how much autism you have? There are people whose autism COMORBIDS stop one's ability to be functional, but there are people with hardly any autism, like me, whose comorbids are huge bu...

Just a quick note: treatment of comorbids is okay, but to cure the autism itself is not. Also, those ho can't speak can use alternative ways of communication-- writing, picture cards, gestures, sounds, even blinking one's eyes. Why should someone have to speak for THEM? If anyone forces a cure for a...

My mom did the same literal thing too, LG! My ex also takes things too literal and then acts like I'm doing that... he plays the "you just want to fight" card... on purpose. I like to think it's just immaturity, eing unable/unwilling to fess up. Same kind of manipulation.

I forgot:

53. They think autism is an intelligence spectrum, that all low-functioning ones are dumb, and all high-functioning ones are smart but not as smart as NTs… that, after all, they are still autistic!

I never let go of people, but that's a good thing. I'd move them into another category rather than delete them. I don't like to be given up on so I don't give up on others. I know I had a hard time letting go of my ex, but then I was ble to, but that's because I stil talk to him and know that he's o...

This is the revised version of my document about how as an autistic I do NOT want to be treated. If it says "this site" instead of "this thread" in places, it's because I pasted it from my blog. The anti-autism people Traits anti-autism people may have They get your assessment wrong, assuming you di...

Here is the revised version of my document of why I act autistic when I do. Why some autistics do or don’t do certain things It is not because we are incompetent at anything! 1. We tic because we are trying hard not to say something embarrassing, so we concentrate so much on it that we say it. And/o...

...for us. Here are the reasons summed up why we must not support Autism Squeaks. List of reasons not to support Autism Speaks (aka Autism Squeaks, Autism Shrieks, etc) 1. They told me to say nothing if I had nothing positive to say about Autism Speaks. I tell them to say something postive about aut...

THE FULL STORY: The Judge Rotenberg Center Recently, the JRC was banned from using aversives on any new student at their school. This is a great step forward. However, students who were at the school before a certain date still recieve the aversives. Is this fair? I think not! Since when does the da...

There are countless definitions of autism people have referred to. Some are ridiculous and are a matter of definitions of other words and things too. Here are just a few. 1. Sensory Processing Disorder 2. gluten high 3. mercury poisoning 4. catatonia 5. refrigerator mother survivors 6. Post Traumati...

I can read social cues and don't have sexually inappropriate behavior and I'm AS... oh wait, I'm not ,I was misdiagnsoed too. Now it's PDD-NOS for me. But yeah, maybe she was misdiagnosed... but it wouldn't be for those reasons. Her awkwardness I know was due to social anxiety. I have the exact same...
