The kissing part is alleged and likely a distraction.

With that said, workplace laws, especially those laws that cover "sexual harassment" have gone to the extreme.

I think making eye contact is now considered improper.

Is school food still the form of torture it was in the 90's? All very interesting, but the original story is USDA organic fertilizer (bovine): http://skeptics.stackexchange.com/questions/18168/do-us-preschools-ban-lunches-being-brought-to-school Still gather the torches and pitchforks and go git tha...

I will echo the statements of consumerism from earlier in the thread. As I live in the Bible Belt, Christmas is more religious here than in other parts of the US, and it is forced on me heavily by family (even more so than the rest of the year). The only ray of happiness is some of the Christmas spe...

Odd, I always thought that corporal punishment was de facto banned in most urban areas of California

I'm surprised that a court found in favor of the parents.

Starbucks ability to inadvertently cause comedy at the expense of others opinions continues to amaze: http://blogs.reuters.com/great-debate/2013/08/09/starbucks-customer-appreciation-day-may-backfire/ (I know, obvious liberal undertones) "BAN GUNS ON YOUR PROPERTY OR WE STOP COMING!" "We are the mos...

I am Sorry if I misunderstood you, but I simply dont know else you meant that with the starting of "It is the parents responsibility to know what they are feeding their children, not mine, not yours, and not anyone else's. It is the parents responsibility to know what they are feeding their children, not mine, not yours, and not anyone else's. Some parents practice this to the point of annoyance, but I applaud them for that because it means they genuinely care about their children. According to this you applaud me, i...

Gotta love how the left continually screeches about freedom of choice but at the same time wants everything regulated. Gotta love how the right continually screeches about leaving the government out of everything but at the same time wants to stick the government into everyone's personal lives. Bot...

When it comes to definitly poisonous stuff, like arsenic or artificial growth hormones and that stuff? Is that a joke? O_o Apparently some Americans think it is their democratic right to feed whatever poisons they like to their children. Each to their own. It is the parents responsibility t...

Easy solution: If you don't think energy drinks are good for YOU then don't use them. But then, why is it ok to stop teens from getting alcoholic drinks, but it is not the same about energy drinks? It's not OK. If anything, the legal drinking age in the US should be 16. The kids are going to drink ...

-You want to ban anything that has even the slightest possibility of having an adverse effect on the user (read: fun) because you want to "protect the children". -You believe swatting a child on the bottom for misbehavior is child abuse, but keeping them drugged so you won't have actually be a paren...
