I have some 'fandom' related things here , though it's mostly graphic design, but I have a 'fine art'ish series called The Study Room that I started in 2013 that I want start revisiting soon, and begin including watercolor, since I've tackled that at my second job after years of not having touched t... |

I used to really enjoy getting a variety of workouts, like P90X, Insanity, and super light things like cardio machines at the gym (elliptical, bicycle). I've given crossfit/weightlifting a go as well, but I'm unable to make the class at my local gym due to work. I also love doing zumba, but my feet ... |

Today, after a little gentle prodding, my boss emailed me the recommendation letter she wrote for me for the JET Program that I'm applying to for the 2016-2017 year. The compliments she made in there brought tears to my eyes and moved me, because I've worked so hard for her for these past three year... |

My wife is black. I'm white. She's from Trinidad and Tobago. She doesn't understand high-functioning autism/Asperger's too well. She understand low-functioning autism better. I should definitely ammend my statement because you bring out such a good point. When someone is higher functioning, detecti... |

I'm black, female, and Aspie (as is my twin brother, minus the female part, obviously ). We're not rare; what's rare is that we are able to get an actual diagnosis. Not a lot of black people have the means to pay for the process of being diagnosed, or the post-diagnosis options. Alternatively, ... |

I'm black, and while I can somewhat see where the OP is coming from, I don't fully agree. Even in my case, I tend to deal a lot with customers on the phone, and when they actually meet me face to face, I always get the, "You're not at all what I imagined." And then they try to sugar coat i... |

I used to have an aversion to wearing anything but earrings (love wearing earrings!). But over the years I've come to not mind wearing necklaces, especially if they are heavy and weigh on my chest. I'm not too crazy about how they feel on the back of my neck if they're metal, but I just love that we... |

The thing that I like about this forum is how polite and respectable everyone is, counting out maybe a few people, just a few. I can post here without fearing what other people might say. I try to stay off of most forums, sarcasm and trolls fly right over my head as well. It really angers me what p... |

I do it mostly when I'm alone to organize my thoughts. I internalize my responses a lot when I'm in public, so I like to hear my thoughts verbally instead in my privacy so I can work things out. But sometimes I talk to myself, especially at my job, and my annoying workmate will "WHAT WAS THAT?&... |

The excuse you'll always get is "this is the internet". "Don't internet if can't internet". "You're too sensitive, you need to grow a thicker skin". I think a lot of these bullies and trolls are underdogs irl and that's why they act like that online. I've actually foun... |

I've been working at the same place for almost three years now. When I first started, I would go home in tears and have massive meltdowns and isolate myself. I work as a graphic designer in a stationery boutique (not the job I intended to have as a designer, but I've actually come to love the kind o... |

So I joined another forum and it's just so vividly clear how differently we approach conversations. I haven't engaged in forums for about three years now, and I'm more of a lurker there, but occasionally I'll put up a new thread or reply to one, only to find out that in my (serious) responses to som... |

If you like having your hair pulled as opposed to simply not being sensitive to it, sounds masochistic :P Silly muffin! I don't think we mean 'wrenching' when we say pulled, like how one would wrench someone's hair in an abusive relationship. A repetitive, gentle tug, or someone someone playing wit... |
