Not all AS people are the same. It is not so much the listening rather the understanding and empathising that is the problem. Where a NT couple might understand how each other feel and why they do things a NT and AS couple might never resolve an argument because of the NT wanting their feelings to b...

She sounds like she could have AS or a mild form. AS a form of autism is in fact genetic which like others have said is a giveaway. Although it is not only an AS trait to be self centered it is common in AS especially in arguments. She sounds similar to me although I consider myself a lot more open ...

I have been in a relationship for two years and my thoughts are very different to how I feel about my partner. I don't feel badly about them I just don't feel amazing about them like everyone else does about their partners. I don't feel any desire towards them or anything like that and sometimes the...

I tend to avoid conflict but when I am faced with it I shutdown. My brother used to get violent with me and when he did I didn't have much to do but guard myself. When I was in high school my friend was confronted by another girl. I had recently lost a friend because she got into a fight and I didn'...

Of course they fake it! My boyfriend and I do exactly the same thing as your wife. My Boyfriends mother and her finance do the same thing too. It sociably acceptable to act your age, not everyone wants to but not everyone naturally does. We were all a little kid once upon a time and you find that ma...

It is funny that you say that because only recently I have thought that I have AS. My brother has AS and says although he doesn't 'overload' somethings - usually sensory - he just can't handle. We had a discussion tossing back and forth things that made both of us uncomfortable and we had very simil...

The lack of grammar on this forum is ridiculous! I couldn't care for those who clearly don't put any effort in to have good grammar but the ones who do and still make mistakes are just infuriating! I have seen more than one person get confused with their does, didn't and done. It really makes me fee...

There was supposed to be an option for 1-3 products on special occasions but this is my first time using the poll.
