In books they are displayed open, top wings flexed like a macho man for human convenience, but their natural silhouette is like a fighter plane. * the time I played chess and the other player captured my queen. It can be very dangerous to willy nilly give to your Autism Society local chapter. My local chapter is very bio-med and pro-cure friendly. To the point that they very tightly moderate those with opposing views. I'd be much more apt to donate to a local organization that I know promotes ND views. I ...

For users in the U.S, your local chapter of Autism Society of America would be a good bet.

I've also heard good things about National Autism Society (NAS) in the UK.

Personally, I think her character sends out a bad message to young girls. It appears that if the guy you're with acts like an insensitive boorish as*hole, then don't worry, with enough love, you can change him. I know Gaston was supposed to be the bad guy in the film, but what was the real differen...

Specifically: The Simpsons,South Park ...Maybe it's that the animated shows I watch are tuned towards adults, maybe my parents were a bit more tolerant of my ...

They seem to be suggesting that most girls with anorexia actually have Asperger's. I'm not I actually agree with that position and am concerned that people will start believing that if girls don't have anorexia then they don't have Asperger's. That was my reaction as well. I have most certainly nev...

I think extremely social people persons often don't understand why anyone would love animals more than they love people--and it makes them uncomfortable. By saying it's wrong they are voicing that discomfort.Consequently they then try to repress or eliminate parts of other people's personality that ...

I do feel its more how words used and the intent behind them. School ground bullying often the worst for many, as children often do not have the confidence as adult to correct individuals who use words out of content.it is what is intended when words said and that we should not label ourselves as s...

I'm not quite sure I understand the question. Do you mean misuse of *any* words or misuse of particular medical/diagnostic labels such as "ret*d"?

Good! It's about time. I am not that overjoyed. Autistics are often thought to be mentally ret*d. I should not enjoy being tarred with that brush. And I think spectrum is the wrong concept. There is not a line with highly ret*d Auties at one end and Aspies at the other. It think it is more complex ...
