No, not really. "God is responsible for everything" is the simplest explanation. If I were to argue against, say, evolution and I were to pose a serious challenge to it, you'd offer an explanation in response. There's no difference if I hand wave your defense as ad hoc. Also, ad hoc generally refer...

You can't argue that just cause someone buys food they have to buy health insurance, the two aren't even remotely related. That's like saying you bought a new pair of pants so you have to go out and get auto insurance when you don't have a car. You said: You do not engage in commerce simply because...

Printers. I decline to have one. My uncle brought a printer and when he brought it home it didn't seem to work, and he was fiddling at it for ages and ages, until finally he got so bad-tempered with it that he literally threw it out of the window. Yes, literally. And he's NT. 30 years of printer us...

You do not engage in commerce simply because you have a heartbeat Isnt that interesting? You apparently do not require sustenance. You are one of those rare non-eating types of humans. Manna from heaven? Apparently, because just having a heartbeat does not mean you must engage in commerce. And I su...

Crap I saw a GNOME 3 setup, I am not using that. I wonder what will be more buggy UNITY or GNOME 3? Probably UNITY. Well as you pointed out once GNOME 2.3X becomes outdated what will be the alternative? I will hate to have to use KDE. I'm currently getting comfortable with the *box window managers....

I found a quote that I really like: It's great, but it's not the point. The point is to make Linux the best OS that the community is capable of making. Not for other people: For itself. The oh-so-common threats of "Linux will never take over the desktop unless it does such-and-such" are simply irrel...

Well this one Linux distro called Ubuntu got this new interface called Unity and it's really awesome. Unity is a piece of sh** and a few other distros want to adopt it but are going to wait until Conical fixes it. Unity sucks, yes. Is GNOME 3 shell any better? I haven't had a chance to try out any ...

I also get really annoyed when I'm on Youtube and the red thing catches up with that other red thing and makes the video keep on pausing (I don't know what they're called or how to describe them but I hope you know what I mean). The cache completion bar and the current time index. The bar changes t...

So what do you do? The kids will eventually have to make the choice on their own. The best thing I can do as a parent is equip my own children to understand what their decisions ultimately mean and teach them what our faith is all about. If my children do NOT choose to believe as I do, then I will ...

I love it because its fun, it comes with all these goodies that you don't get on Windows or Mac OS X, you can customise everything on it and its UNIX. My favourite distros are Gentoo, Fedora, Slackware and Archlinux. I love FreeBSD and Solaris too. I know. its the secret goodies, the little hidden ...

excellent. I do have an independent running here, Russ Toews Not Toe-wsing the party line topic I do not agree with Russ regarding parties being the bogey monster, but I can see his independence as positive--for him. There can be no federal leadership as he would never get a majority of seats, obvi...
