My newborn is soft and snuggly and really fun to cuddle. And it's really neat to see her looking at things and trying to figure them out. |

Biologically, having a child is easier when you're young. But economic resources and emotional maturity both give older parents an advantage. I know in my case, if I'd had a child 6 years ago, I'd have a lot more difficulty coping with looking after her, because I wouldn't have had those 6 years to ... |

Whoever is telling you " you'll find love when you stop looking for it " is most likely a woman, because this advice generally speaking, only works for women, who have the luxury of simply waiting for guys to approach them. Remember, women have a COMPLETELY different dating experience com... |

My impression is that a lot of what we think of as "Muslim" appearance is common across religions in certain regions. |

There is already an explanation from this OP, and also with milder form of ASD, you at least need to meet enough diagnostic criteria for B. Diagnostic criteria A for ASD, it should be reserved when it is more severe. People with Broad Autism Phenotype should only be diagnosed with ASD when symptoms... |

I've mostly lost friends due to executive dysfunction.
Anyone who blames me for symptoms isn't someone I really want as a friend, so that's not a huge loss. But it sucks when I drift apart from a good friend simply because I can't handle the executive challenge of staying in touch. |

I just had a thought in regards to #1  When I was a kid I've often been told that others were just joking or trying to be friendly when I really believed at the time that they were being mean & bullying me. Looking back I still believe that in some(or maybe a lot) of those situations oth... |

You keep saying there should be changes to the criteria and the criteria should be like this, but you still haven't said why. Why do you think it's important to include people who don't have social impairments under the diagnostic category of autism? |

Isn't the whole point of BAP that they're not included under the diagnostic criteria of autism? Why would including BAP in the diagnostic criteria be desirable? |

I see a bunch of people giving strongly worded advice to Jamesy, but have any of you stopped to determine whether or not Jamesy actually wants your advice?
I don't know about you, Jamesy, but it would really bug me if people were giving me advice like that. It's your life, you do what you want. |

I have a great relationship with my parents. They're not perfect (no one is) but throughout all the challenges I've faced, I've always known they're 100% on my side and will do their best to help me. With that said, I think that #1 and #3 are the biggest reasons why you see so many abused autistic p... |

If "pedophile" means "person who has done nothing actually harmful and just enjoys gross fiction" then they deserve protection. People should be judged on our actual actions, not what fantasies we have. |

Quote: Women(I use “women” to refer to women and people with minority gender identities)
God, I hate when people do that. They're not being inclusive. They're basically saying "your minority gender identity doesn't matter to me, I'm going to just pretend you're a woman instead". |
