It depends on the job. However, I object to the use of "IQ", and would prefer "intelligence". I was originally planning on using the term "intelligence" over IQ. But the title of the thread can only take so many characters and I wanted to be as clear as possible on what the subject of the thread wa... |

Hello WrongPlanet, I have read numerous articles and watched numerous videos that seem to suggest that social skills are deemed to be more important for determining career success than intelligence. I personally think that having both the intelligence to understand what you are doing in your job/occ... |

Yes, I can live independently. I have lived on my own before in the past and made it through. I can wake up on my own, cook for myself, clean after myself, pay the house bills, and any other life skill that I am failing to mention. All I have to do now is get a high-enough paying job and I would def... |

I did more statistical analysis on the data provided here on this thread and I have come with the following: First, let's discuss STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) majors in people with ASDs. There was a recent study that was published titled something along the lines of 'Autistic Kids Lean... |

Hello there! I am conducting another survey to determine if there is a difference in terms of overall GAF scores based on six different diagnostic groups (all of which were made prior to the DSM-V where Asperger's is dropped altogether): [1] Non-NT: Asperger's & Non-ASD(i.e. those with a diagnos... |

It appears that this thread is dying down a bit and only 12 different people have posted. This number is not large enough for me to make any meaningful conclusion about the relationship between GAF and the following factors: (i) VIQ (ii) PIQ (iii) ASQ. But based on the data provided by those 12 diff... |

So far, according to the poll, out of the 13 adults (with diagnosed ASDs) who chose to vote, only 3 (or 23.0%) of them had GAF scores of 70 or above. As of right now, 2 (or 50%) of the 4 voters with an ASQ score of 29 or less had a GAF score indicative of normal/near-normal functioning, 1 (or 16.67%... |

[2] What is your most recent Performance IQ (PIQ) score? As a tenth grader, I scored 138 on Cognitive Efficiency. [3] What is your mo... |
