I find that I can get along with most anyone. I have also had a few cases where I have had a hard time getting along with people who have a very dry sense of humor. I tend to take some of the things they say quite literally when they may be completely kidding but I can not tell the difference. It is...

I choose not disclose it unless I am absolutely comfortable with someone. I find that it backfires when I tell anyone about it in most cases. They automatically begin to treat me differently or like I have a disease or like I am rainman. They already know I am "weird", I prefer to just let them thin...

I daydream probably 98% of the time I am awake. When I am at work, I daydream. When I am at home I daydream/websurf/daydream/rehearse music/daydream. And then daydream myself to sleep at night. At some point I MUST stim while I daydream. Stimming while daydreaming is like Heroine.

I get this way frequently. I don't medicate, I meditate. Seriously. I find a quiet space and meditate for as little as 5 minutes. If you are not sure how to meditate there are countless online resources. You do not have to be Buddhist to meditate. You also do not have to get in the typical seated po...

I love fans in general. I have had one while I sleep since I was very young. Some people use them for white noise. For me, it is very soothing and someone suggested it may have been similar to what we hear in utero. I also found fans fascinating when I was younger. One of my things is I try to keep ...

I hand flap while holding something flexible.. I prefer to hold a small string or bracelet or something like a stim bracelet. I am married with kids so I usually do this in private. That is basically the way they new I didn't have Tourette's. I was able to decide when and where I stimmed therefore I...

I flap asymmetrically. I find that I have to have a string or something in my hand for some reason. I often keep a shoestring in my pocket. I am married and my wife is always finding strings and shoestrings in my laundry. She still doesn't get it.

Meh.. Surprised that it took 10 years to find him. I am a pacifist and war on any level seems ridiculous to me, I can't help it. However, as an Aspie I have a great interest in the intricacies involved in planning and carrying out a SEAL operation like this. My mind is filled with dilemmas such as t...

I am terrible for letting "little things" build up over time until I am almost suffocating in stress. Other times I might have a panic attack for no particular reason. If My wife had not taken over the finances and bill paying, I would have lost it.

I get tired of hearing cliche inspirational comments ad nauseum as well. I have a system where I just shake my head in agreement while simultaneously erasing the event from my mind.

My wife has to tell me at least half a dozen times before I do something she wants me to do. I just get distracted and tune her out sometimes. Guess its my untreated ADHD. Maybe I should look into it again.
