Well...just because you have AS, doesn't mean your kids will. It's believed that my paternal grandfather had it, and only one of his four kids had it. Both my parents are NT. Your thoughts lead to an interesting question though - should someone not have kids if they know that there is an increased r...

I've been mulling over this concept - if a neurotypical person is dating an aspie, is that exploitative? What I mean by that is, can that be a healthy relationship? Or does that partnership just create the kind of power imbalance that's a breeding ground for abusive relationships? In short - is it ...

Well excuse me if this is more moot misleading advice but...yes you can be. Beauty standards aren't as narrow as media would have you believe, and not as many people believe that it is as you might think, unfortunately those that do tend to be rather vocal about it. Can you be beautiful at a size 1...

Therapy has helped me intensely, there's plenty of good interpersonal therapy to be had out there. I'd always had trouble with communicating my needs but through therapy, suddenly people in my life have started understanding what I want! It's a good feeling

At first I couldn't figure out what you meant, but I'm guessing you mean that the person with AS is significantly disabled by it, like to the point where the NT is essentially in a caregiving role? I've been in a relationship like that (involving mental illness, not AS), and yeah, I wouldn't recomm...

Excuse the TMI, but I recently took my 34yo AS BF's virginity. I'm a 25 yo AS girl, and here's my 2c. The fact that he had never had sex wasn't by choice. Wasn't because he's gay, asexual or uninterested. He's just really shy and never had the confidence to pursue women. In face he liked me for two ...

That we're using a diagnosis as an excuse for the fact that...we're just jerks :wall:

I get it, judgement is easy and understanding takes oh so difficult smart-making

Tony Attwood made the observation that ASD men tend to marry NT women, who negotiate the social world for them, whereas ASD women tend to marry ASD men - if they marry at all. (Assuming his statement is true, there is a very small pool of people for ASD women to marry). I married an ASD husband, an...

I'm tired and my brain is half switched off, so I'm confused - what, exactly do you want to know? My 2c, based off what you already said - the female orgasm is an elusive animal. When you, as a man pleasure yourself, you do the same repetitive motion for long enough, and you'll finish. One method an...

The important part isn't what it looks like - which is a good thing because as you say, it looks pretty weird.

What matters is how it feels. With someone you really like, it feels really good. Cheesy and overly simple yes, but still true 8)

These so called retribution cases sound very weird. I don't like the idea of having such an open ended justice system.

That would be me, too. I try not to let it take complete control of me, but I could happily have sex 2-3 times per day, 6 days a week, and sometimes more. That's the schedule I'd put myself on anyways. Touch is one of my sensory-integration issues, but I find that I'm 100% comfortable with physical...
