I've been following him since just after I went back to playing rugby and I've found him very helpful indeed :)

Howdy, ASD diagnosed advanced paramedic here. If you still want to be a doctor, then please don't give up. I burned out in 2020, ironically because they switched me to telemedicine on 12 hour shifts. I managed it for about 6 months. Overclocked my brain and broke it for a bit. Took me 10 months to r...

The guidance we have been told, and that we screen people for, is that if you or anyone in your household has a fever (feels hot to the touch or over 38c if you have a thermometer) and/or a new continuous cough (whether it's dry or productive) and/or a loss of, or change in sense of smell or taste y...

I know personally people who have caught it, and ended up seriously ill though not in any of the at risk groups. Healthy folk, not overweight, fit. I'm not saying no healthy fit person under the age of 65 are COVID-resistant, but healthy fit people under 65 can also get cancer and other deadly dise...

The Crown dependencies (the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) are largely self-governing with the UK responsible for their defence an...

Ah, the moniker "British..." I hadn't thought about that one in detail, but I had a notion that it was the referent for anyone from the U.K. At the same time, I wouldn't have used it for someone I knew was Scottish or Irish. IS there a proper word for a... "UKer"? I th...

Can you tell if you're making people uncomfortable? Not usually while it is happening in situ. I twig later through body language, or when they tell me to piss off. SO MUCH THIS     I'm better at spotting it than I was when I was younger, but it's defo ...

Scotland and England are the same country, the United Kingdom. Actually, they aren't. The United Kingdom is a sovereign state which is composed of four countries- Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland (since Ireland gained it's independence from the UK). Scotland is a country that has a pol...
