We are open about our child's autism, and while there are views on "how young is too young, what if child uses autism as excuse not to try, etc." -- we speak about autism very freely in the house (we don't use code words, we don't say "A word", etc... |

| I'm surprised OT doesn't suspect this is sensory when you look at the behaviors: - hair touching (texture) - kicking at home (sensory input) - blowing raspberries (this may be sensory -- lips together and coming apart in rapid succession) - the actual noises may be tics of some kind, for example, so... |

| Thank you for your responses! Our ABA team is working on "working memory" with our child (more along the lines of, "what did we just do?"), and it does seem like a continuing issue with him. I don't want to keep stressing him by testing him if this is something he's still developing a level of skill... |
