Anyone who things that people on the spectrum are all rational, objective, critical thinkers need only look at this thread for disproof by counterexample. Yup. First the NYP was saying 12 dead, then that there's a suspect in custody. The NYP is a tabloid, nothing more. Stop parroting their BS, fools.

I like Stout. Ale is okay, but lager is only good for killing garden slugs.

Ale = top fermenting, lager = bottom fermenting. There are countless styles of beer, and ale vs. lager is relatively unimportant.

OP specifically referenced Selective Service, which is a US program. To assume he's not in the US would be unreasonable.

Also, fear of being drafted is unreasonable as well. Not going to happen.

Oh my god I'd go non-vegan right at this moment for some scallops... What about for some wake-n-bacon (weed cooked in to bacon grease)? I got a big thing of bright purple kale at the store last weekend and was laughing at it quite a bit. I can't wait to make bright purple kale chips with it, I won'...

I hate drugs. I hate to be dependent on external substances, except for food, water and oxygen. Good for you. Know that not everyone who uses caffeine, alcohol, thc, nicotine, etc. are "dependent" on them. My grandmother who smoked pot invited me to try it once. I told her to grow up....

For the record, you don't "get a piece of paper" like an *Asperger's Diploma* when you get diagnosed. All you do is get a psychiatrist's bill that has a diagnosis code on it that you submit to your insurance company. I think it's safe to assume you've got it. Go ahead and print out a diploma for yo...

Marijuana is natural. If there is a god, he created it. Volcanos (the hot exploding mountain type, not the vape) are natural too. As are scorpions, jellyfish, etc. Just because something is natural doesn't mean it's necessarily good for you. That said, a bit of natural medicine is a wonderful thing...

I'm coming to the conclusion that some of the people here attach some sort of weird status to spending somebody else's money to get an official diagnosis. I don't understand it, but maybe it's the (undiagnosed) aspie in me. Heh, ditto. I see no reason to go get diagnosed. It'll cost time and money,...

Tell your kid. I was almost 30 when I figured out why life has been challenging in the ways it has. He deserves to known and it will make his life easier.

It really is tough. Even though I have quite a few people who I semi-regularly share in activities with, it's hard to call many of them "friends." The ones that are tend to be because they live closer than the others.

Life. :?

I'm a big fan of "social ret*d." I was telling myself I was socially ret*d for years, before I had any idea of what ASDs were. And it's not a derogatory slur if it's true, right?

When I go running, I just take house keys and wear a RoadID (similar to a medicalert bracelet, I have the soft ankle-strap one, just has my personal info and emergency contacts). Much better than dragging all that other junk around.

Her being messy bothers me. How I make her feel about it what bothers her. They are both issues, unless my feelings are irrelevant.
