But he still can't use his right hand for anything, he's not faking anything btw. They are trying, but I'm kinda devestated his arm might not get better. He'll get used to it, and it's not much of a problem for most daily activities. Median nerve palsy here, and I can do hard work with my good hand...

My former father-in-law lost an arm in WWII and drove ok with no modifications! Well yes, I'm sure you could get by fine with just one hand on the wheel (especially with an auto or newer/racing manual, but an older manual would still be workable), but legally it's different from place to place. Hen...

And hey, at least I have a more understandable excuse for normal people when they ask me why I can't drive. Sure, if you look into it more, one handed people can have modified cars, but it'll end the question quickly. It's better and more understandable than saying, "I have autism and I can't f...

Yup. Especially when he's native and the toads aren't, so you think they wouldn't have adapted so quickly, but they have.

I'd definitely be a stereotypical bird loving hobo if I had no roof to live under.

They're gay and it's nothing to be proud of, same for any other sexuality, and I don't think it's healthy to define yourself via your sexuality, but whatever. Granted, I understand the history of persecution, but persecution is generally a universal thing and everyone has faced it for things they ha...

Still waking up from the sharp pains in my hand; I guess it's because the drugs have worn off by then (looks about right by looking at the half-lives). Not that bothersome, but still noteworthy. Technically, it should be there forever now, and perhaps with a chance of worsening a bit when the neurom...

You either like the advice or you don't. That's how it goes. Even if someone brings up things you haven't thought of and never will, or the advice is actually what will work if you followed it; if you don't like it, you won't like it. People almost all of the time want reaffirmation when it comes to...

They're really amazing. You have an anticholinergic compound and also an anticonvulsant compound within the same mushroom, and to top it off, the former can be converted into the latter via various methods too (though you could say the latter in the mushroom itself is due to the former from the natu...

Alternating water and Vanilla Coke

Haven't touched booze in a while now. Probably won't put it down the next time I pick it up, so yeah. I've got a pretty good collection, though, which I've been giving out as gifts to neighbors for lifts.

Don't know, really. I wish things were different. I wish things went differently. I wish things could change for the better for once. But, I'm happy enough all things considered (or perhaps numb; happiness and numbness are close enough), outside of some sadness and pain for life. Kinda like the palm...

Saw a crow eating a toad in a way that avoided the poison glands. He's been hanging around, and I've been seeing toad heads lying around; I guess I know the culprit now. Smart birds.

He shall be named Reaper.

Sadly, rain and humidity have been in short supply around here, so my fungi hunts are basically non-existent. I dream of plains of Amanita muscaria; they're beautiful and very interesting chemically and historically.
