My chronic pain makes it difficult to concentrate, so difficult that I had to quit my last job due to my inability to memorize all the software I was supposed to. I've had injections for my carpal tunnel, but its acting up again. When I hurt I can't really listen closely to what people are telling m...

OK, this would require nerves of steel...so be fore-warned...I have an idea about Aspie humor... I'm old enough to remember Andy Kaufman doing standup as a foreign guy standing next to a record played and lip syncing to the Mighty Mouse song. (That's not my idea) My idea would be to do standup comed...

Muscle tone can be changed. If you're not having success, you can get help in a gym, or online. Women always say a man's body isn't a big deal to them, but they do care. Not so much if you're a muscular hunk, but flab and fat can be a turnoff. Mostly women respond to height and grooming. If you dres...

So many days the posts on my page are Grandchildren, Pets, Vacation Pics, and a whole host of other shallow nonsense. Its pathetic, I see many of the same hoaxes over and over. I always post the Snopes page to show people that the post is false, but I know Snopes itself sometimes bends its own rules...

Up until 5th grade I thought the other children were all going through a 'silly' phase and grow out of being overly concerned with silly things like some boy who thought some girl was cute. I got worried when I realized people didn't care about science, or facts, but fashion and television shows. Wh...

Sorry, but being nice won't get you deleted. You have to be obnoxious and cross the line of tastefulness. Even then, someone might pretend to be you, so its best all around to simply not post for awhile...

I wouldn't say 'childish', the term could refer to an adolescent level of emotional response.
Lord knows I've had to work with my fair share of people who would fall into that category.

I chose my Username by mistake and chance. I love movies and I was reading reviews on Aintitcool when they mentioned something about the classic movie "The Bride of Frankenstein." That same day I decided to start posting on ForteanTimes, so I made the mistake/choice of one of the character...

What instrument(s) do you play? If you have painful self-consciousness, then use that to your advantage by playing funny songs, and dressing up rather odd. I've seen buskers who get a lot of laughs, and some who are much too serious. If you look somewhat clownish and make a mistake, then people thin...

Since no one has mentioned it thus far, dear old HPL was a failure in marriage. He wasn't interested in women, and his wife may have been the only woman he ever had sex with. I've always found it odd that after they divorced, she disappeared from his life and (apparently) never contacted him to see ...
