I don't have a future. I am twenty-six. Most of my life has been stolen from me. I have nearly gone blind from the anti-psychotics which I stopped taking a few months ago, and I have no way of defining myself. I can't afford college, I don't have a job or degree at this point, just two years at univ...

I think I have Autism, not schizophrenia or bipolar disorder or attention deficit disorder. I have all the hallmarks of early high intelligence, sensitivity to noise and stress, hyper-vigilance and difficult social skills. I don't understand why someone would want to torture and break an autistic in...

I am starting to think it has nothing to do with anything at all and that I cannot define myself by their terms. I believe if I had schizophrenia I would have had it in childhood. I believe if I had schizophrenia I would meet the criteria and I have never met their criteria by my own terms or defini...

That's odd. I've never noticed this before but I can imagine people doing it. Maybe you should just do as you said and put tissues on the table for them, haha. It might look rude but so is not blowing your nose that's gross especially if they are doing it to purposely offend you.

There are people who smoke weed everyday to feel the same effect. I'm not sure my opinion on it. I want to live without medication or substances influencing my life anymore. If there was something that could help me right now, though, I would probably take it.

I'm so done. I am can't make an appointment with a psychiatrist at the practice I have been to for many years. I withdrew from Abilify and I am getting facial tics and I'm not sure what to do to combat symptoms. I don't know what I should avoid either, caffeine? Alcohol? I was on 30 mgs for eight ye...

I personally will not take SSRI's. My mother had severe depression and it kick started her mania on its own, with the combination of her prescribed weight loss pills. This was weight loss from pregnancy. She never would lose weight but became bipolar then manic. It may have made her permanently bipo...

You might have schizoaffective. It's treatable. I would talk to a psychiatrist because the sooner you treat it the less damaging it will be over time. This illness can reverse, but the more time you spend in distress the harder it is to come out of.

It all depends. If you have a diagnosis of schizophrenia, it could be that you need a medication adjustment or to start writing down memories so to organize your thoughts. Or if you have Bipolar or Depression it could be a signal that something is off. Vivid dreams arise due to stress and not coping...

I have high insight. I was told this by the person whose treating me, the psychiatrist. I've been seeing her for one year or more and she is very encouraging and empathetic. I also have most definitely a genetic form of schizophrenia with a mood disorder, which is called schizoaffective. It just mea...
