Thank you so much Hermit. I really appreciate you take the time to write this all down. I will definately read through this every once in a while. Quiet funnily I have been taking some great steps lately; eating health (I'm starting to learn how to cook), excersizing more, doing things I like and t...

Ah sorry, not aimed at you. I meant that the whole "there's no such thing as bi" attitude of her new partner reeks of militant idealism rather than ideas formed from genuine experiences in the real world.

Hi Hermit, Thanks so much for your reply. I think I might have expressed myself wrongly, because I am most definately not the person to go back into bad relationships with people and whenever someone treats me badly repeatedly I have no problem terminating these relationships. I know I can function...

I have had similar issues in the past and I think it comes down to self-esteem and possibly an element of co-dependency. In order to be happy in friendships and relationships you first of all need to be happy in yourself. A cliche, perhaps, but a true one. If you want to be with someone, that is a g...

I'm a straight guy, but my (now-ex) girlfriend has always been bi-curious and ended up dating a lesbian girl in order to "find herself" / "fill a void in her life". I gave tacit approval for her to go off with a girl because I felt it was selfish to force someone to potentially live a lie for the re...

Yes, there are certain pieces of music that give me goosebumps and can sometimes bring me to tears. Sometimes it's just the music itself, or even one particular note. The opening guitar note to "Slide Away" by Oasis, (not generally a particular favourite band of mine) works every time. More often, t...

You do not know that without getting to the root cause of the problem, and I don't think that's just not getting enough sex. I agree it's bad behaviour but what are the underlying reasons? I don't disagree that there probably are underlying reasons. However, I think that 1. It's the responsibility ...

My post was completely relevant. Being bullied for social misunderstandings and odd body language is one thing. However, someone saying "No, I don't want sex right now" is pretty damn hard to misread. Subsquently throwing a tantrum IS bad behaviour and not equivalent to symptoms of a disorder. You ...

False analogy. My inability to have a 5-minute conversation is not equivalent to someone who, when they don't get sex, threatens to cheat on their partner and storms out. My Asperger's hurts noone but myself. But nice try. The analogy is the ease with which people make superficial judgements, i.e w...

Yeah, certainly interested, though I never know what's going on with work until the last minute.

I'm near Derby but I think Derby - Manchester is pretty easy by train.

I do like a good pint from time to time. Paler things like IPA in the summer (IPA shandy is very refreshing if it's particularly hot), and darker beers in the winter. However it goes in phases and currently I've pretty much lost the taste for it. No idea why, just don't really want any. I'll general...

To the point where I wonder whether it is worth carrying on.

If you don't want to be judged negatively, don't behave shittily. Remember that next time your Aspie behaviour gets you into some form of dispute or disappointment. It's your own fault for behaving shittily (in other people's eyes). Seriously, you have to understand the deeper level stuff here to u...

Some massive assumptions still creeping in here. Firstly, perhaps he is drinking heavily because he senses that the relationship is failing and he's trying to block that out? It's not uncommon to use alcohol as a mild anaesthetic against anxiety. The fact that doing this makes him far less attractiv...
