Sometimes I think people with AS ask for too many accommodations, extra time on test, special rooms for exam, I didn't get any accommodations at all and I was able to graduate just fine. I still think people who get accommodation should have them listed on the transcript, so future employers or sch...

This is how I live my life : ( Although I live with my girlfriend and one of my best friends. I have no reason to feel anxious. Just any type of social interaction gives me a ton of anxiety if its with someone who I haven't let into my own personal world. Once I get close and use to the person its u...

I was diagnosed Schizoid Personality disorder at one point. After I looked up what it meant, I discovered that the reason why I was diagnosed SPD was most likely because of how much isolation I require. The person who I work with didn't pay attention to the fact that it was because of how sensitive ...

I have blue/green eyes(changes) and there is a little bit of brown right around the iris. I also have IBS. I wouldn't doubt that it is all just coincidence and not related to autism though.

Seems like people diagnosed young want to escape it, and those diagnosed older embrace it. I think it has to do with what people go through at certain times in their life. When you are younger, having a label of autism is not a good thing to have when other kids can use it to pick on you and make y...

I used to have the problem that you have and still do when I start to talk faster. I took speech therapy when I was younger and they basically taught me to slow down my speech. It gives you an extra second to think about the word you are about to say and to pronounce it properly.

You'll be surprised with how much they get by just observing. Mine doesn't have everything in it either. Its missing a lot. Partly because I forgot to say. They still diagnosed me with Autism.

I have trouble, but I don't really know how bad. When I worked in retail, I would greet customers multiple times sometimes and ask if they needed help multiple times because I didn't recognize that I had talked to them a minute ago. That was always embarassing because some people get insulted by tha...
