The only evidence of aspergers traits is a slightly pedantic voice. The only impairment is metaphors. If those are truly your only autistic traits then you aren't autistic. Look up the diagnostic criteria for asperger's and/or autism. If I had a detailed diagnosis I am sure I would only ASD traits ...

I'm not sure what kind of response you want, but you might be able to just stop wearing them if you don't need a lot of support. An undershirt plus well-developed chest muscles provides support.

The online questionnaires and symptom lists for autism focus heavily on psychological and social traits (such as theory of mind and understanding of sarcasm). When people come to WP wondering whether they have autism, they usually have lists of vague symptoms like anxiety and "never fitting in....

How do you deal with people's expectations and reactions without going crazy? I don't. I don't interact with many people, but if I met someone who didn't like who I am, I wouldn't continue to interact with that person. There's really not much to it but to just be yourself. I don't care what people ...

I'm under the impression that the most efficient way to learn a language is through comprehensible input, and in some ways mimicking what happened when you were a baby. So I started watching a ton of Japanese media with no subtitles or just Japanese subtitles from the beginning, and I learned to en...

especially in a world where neurotypicals run everything and things are viewed from that perspective. Non-neurotypical people have to deal with a neurotypical world regardless of whether they are diagnosed. Navigating a neurotypical world has nothing to do with whether a diagnosis itself is positiv...

Exactly what can you get (and how to get) help (for what specifically?) better things and/including accommodation in the U.K.? Or if possible to move to another English speaking country? Are you talking to me? I don't understand your questions. Getting a diagnosis can lead to access of much needed ...

No, I don't get embarrassed very easily. I don't think i experience embarrassment like other people do, however.

The thread title is a joke. But seriously, doesn't it seem weird to congratulate someone for being diagnosed with autism? Being diagnosed is not really a good thing. It's a neutral thing at best, assuming the diagnosis is accurate. It can help people get good things, like better medical treatment or...

But could it be that I am just...odd? Yes that could be it. or BAP. Honestly I find myself more comfortable thinking that I have had ASD and have been undiagnosed my entire life. The thought of going for a diagnosis (I am currently on a loooong waiting list) and having it come back as negative for ...

Have you tried having the same menu every day instead of the same dish at every meal? That way, you can have a larger variety of food (which is more nutritious) but still eat the same foods regularly. I mean that your breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all different, but you have the same breakfast ev...

I've studied French on-and-off for about twenty years. I know it well enough such that I sort of half study (learn new words and try to improve listening comprehension) and half just use it (I have textbooks written in French). I kind of use Spanish but don't really study it; just read what I can an...

Avoid interacting with people you feel the need to lie to.

Give them the bare minimum amount of information that's necessary for you to live your life (like if you have to work with them), and don't tell them anything else.

But I don't decide when I want to wake up according to what other people do, so the comparison kind of doesn't make sense. I phrased it that way because I've read from many sources that there ac...

It's too long for me to finish, and a lot of it seems to be unrelated to your topic. Maybe post a summary.
