Thanks! Fruit Of The Loom is actually what I wear now - it's the best I've found so far, but not perfect. I'll try out Andrew Christian and Hanes. Noca, it's quite hard to tell from the picture what the waistband is like. It looks like one of those elastic straps, like on these Icebreaker briefs - i...

I'm sure I can't be the only aspie with this problem. The waistbands on underwear sometimes drives me insane. Some are worse than others, but any elastic waistbands are right out. Has anyone found briefs with a soft waistband that doesn't irritate? I don't even care how expensive it is, as long as i...

Hey Campin_Cat! Yeah, just thought I'd pop in and contribute to a depressing topic. :) Good to see you, too!

Daniel89, that is true - assisted suicide, if you manage to get it, is pretty safe. (Though it feels funny to use the word "safe" to mean "guaranteed to kill you"!)

This actually exists in the Netherlands. It was the first country to legalise any kind of euthanasia, I believe, but they now also allow euthanasia for "insufferable mental illness":

I don't know about "most aspies", but if you find driving that challenging or anxiety-inducing then you probably should not drive. I dislike the attitude our society seems to have that driving is something every adult should be able to do, even a right of passage of sorts. It's not. It's a...

This may seem like a silly question but, are weighted blankets very warm? I don't want to be extra warm, but I'm intrigued by the weight. I LOVE sleeping under a heavy comforter in the wintertime, but the room must be very cold or I wake up hot and sweating. And I can't do it in the summer. I see n...

If the USA is so against people marrying on tourist/visitor visas I wonder why they don't just pass a law against that specifically? Don't prevent the entry, just prevent the legal registration of marriage. The way the border guards treated her is sad, but not surprising to me at all. Of all the cou...

I think this is a very serious concern. The VSauce video posted above includes a link to a far more interesting video by CGPGrey, "Humans Need Not Apply" ... and it does nothing to argue against its points. I think the CGPGrey video does a great ...

I guess it's good that it doesn't make me sad that I feel like this? Yes, it is. You're very fortunate in this respect. I think I was like that for a while, but now, it does make me feel sad. Really, really sad. It's great that you can accept your situation. I'm sure that being socially competent a...

I'm not sure that performance IQ is a good proxy measure for being able to live independently. Before you found out your IQ score, did you feel that there were things you couldn't do that would prevent that?

Interesting post, Hububalli, thank you! Since last posting in this thread 2 years ago I've visited Stockholm and Malmo and your observations are consistent with what I've seen. It all seemed quite pleasant overall. This was in the summer, mind you! Winter would probably be a bit difficult, although....

Yeah, me too, except "very happy" just sounds laughably unrealistic. I'd take "not unhappy", personally.

I also suggest making the "Wrong Planet" title a little more subtle. I want to be able to browse without my co-workers knowing. Right now the letters are huge at the top of the screen. If you're talking about the green and blue logo I'd suggest just block it with AdBlock. Even safer than ...

To be fair, refusing to answer any questions is simply the rational thing for him to do in this situation. He would be well advised to not answer any even if he was innocent as a lamb. Therefore this has nothing to do with him being smug or an arsehole, simply him not being an idiot. The only part t...

Ah yes, a classic example of journalists misquoting people to an almost comical extent to get more views. The actual, direct quote of the general's statement is "we could be at war within a few years". "Could". Nowhere (in the direct quote) does he say he "expects" it. ...

Well, I don't know about the most satisfying... but it's pretty satisfying! Even for NTs, apparently.
