not a different species (ik probably not serious, but I see that phrasing used a lot always bugs me) treating women as equals is a basic standard for human decency, so while it's great that you do, not really going above and beyond that crankiness said, it's nice to hear that opinion on wp and I tho...

Thanks for your insight on this. This part but there are other things you can do to make your lady happy is something that concerns me most, to be honest. I mean, to women expect men to perform oral sex on them on their "first time" together, or do they usually reserve that for someone they are mor...

I'm circumcised, but I think my girlfriend doesn't care, as she's a virgin too, and she's said to me that I'm the man of her dreams. She's told me that, and has also told me that she's only had two other boyfriends, and she had one of them when she was in high school, and she was born in 1983, so t...

BTW -- what the h*ll is the deal with big bras that still have padding in them?!?!? I can understand if you're an A-cup and want a little more shape. But D-cups DO NOT NEED PADDING!! ! I hate those molded cup bras that are so popular now. It makes my boobs look fake even when they aren't. QFT! I do...

People assume good qualities in attractive people and bad qualities in ugly people. Even teachers overestimate the intelligence of pretty, slim children. This isn't a new area of judgement. Sometimes people don't like or are put off by someone, we can't make people like us and they're entitled to th...

I think this thread is a good idea. I have this girls advice binder thing from 1986 that I got from a garage sale when I was in middle school and it had all kinds of school/make-up/dating/ etc. advice and I found it to be so helpful. Some of the first date tips from it paraphrased: - wear a clean, n...

http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/friends.png acquaintance is the easiest base relationship to date out of, something like being in a class together, volunteering at the same place, being at a mutual friend's party, not a stranger but not a friend. I think this is part of why dating can be so challenging...

The Venn diagram of boys who don't like smart girls and boys you don't want to date is a circle. There is a masculine pressure/expectation to "be first chair" in their relationship, be smarter/more educated/make more money/"wear the pants" etc. which some people buy into more than others. And there ...

That's why it's not the right kind of relationship for you. But other people are different, feel differently, need/want different things and so chose other relationship styles. One way isn't "better" universally than another way. Nor did I imply that it was, other than it sure wouldn't work for me....

Operative word being "many". I don't have the issues with routine, to the extent that I feel I need to limit myself to a single partner. Plus, again, you guys are assuming that you cannot have a constant partner in a polyamorous relationship. You can, and ideally, you do. Personally, I liked poly f...

Can I ask you WHY you prefer a taller person, or why the height even matters at all in the first place? I never understood that. Most women probably feel awkward and funny-looking in public with a boyfriend/husband that's shorter than them. The guy being way taller looks weird too in my opinion. Th...

It seems like you are putting a lot of work into your relationship and into understanding your partner and his needs. No effort you could make could succeed if he isn't putting in effort as well. It also sounds to me like he's dealing with some depression (a common comorbid of asd) or at least a neg...

It seems like there are enough men who don't like tall women and enough women who don't like short men that both the men and the women who don't have these preferences assume they're universal in the other gender.
