I’ve been told by my Doctor that I am AS with Schizoid tendencies. It seems to me you could have both as one is a neurological condition and the other is a personality disorder.

You have feelings for this person so of course you will feel distraught over his loss; we Aspies are entitled to have empathy too. I am sure you are a source of support for him right now as you seem rather selfless in regards to the situation.

As a human being you have a right to emotions. It?s how you react to the emotion and how it affects others is where rights come in. The feelings you are having are right and natural feelings to have, the need to feel wanted and fulfilled. Sadly however these feelings go unmet all too often.

He may just need to be left alone so he can sort out the details in his own way. As long as he knows you care about him and are concerned but willing to let him have his space then he should come around. I would only worry if it prolongs into a long period of time.
