It helps...basically it gives me more energy which is a problem for me. It also helps me to some degree with impulsive impulsiveness in conversations and emotional reactions. The dependency issue is a red herring if taken as prescribed. You will get no more "hooked" on Adderall then you will soap op...

I found an article related to ADHD at google news. Its below in this message. The way that people live their lives in our competitive busy modern world looks like one of the main factors in contribution to mental disorders. Medications are just there to mask the symptoms. A more holistic approach w...

Mike Adams also doesn't believe that AIDS is a virus and that it can be cured by water. Just another anti-psych/scientologist blowhard. Worse, he tries to sell product in his "news" article. Can we at least attempt to get some unbiased source material for posts or must we appeal to the lowest common...

Wasn't it alleged that the most active editor of the AS article worked for a pharmaceutical company (and was so brazen as to place a picture of her product on the page 'til someone removed it), and that she'd made thousands of edits to the page within the course of a year, and scores of changes wit...

This is actually an instance of where people with our talents could excel at affecting change in the tone of the article. The vital weakpoint of getting your viewpoint properly represented on Wikipedia is sourcing. Instead of writing your own opinion, find an MD who shares your opinion and has expo...

Most of what you described are actually behaviours. To answer your question my my father was BiPolar. Do I believe that the mentally ill have more difficulty regulating their behaviour?...yes I do.

The inattentive subtype might better fit characteristics seen in ASD behaviour. I was diagnosed with the inattentive type of ADD back in the early 80s, long before AS was being diagnosed. Apparantly, I didn't meet the criteria for autism because of my verbal abilities, but they needed to diagnose m...

That quote could have come right off of Fred Baughman's ADHDFRAUD.COM website. So it is a giant conspiracy then...Psychiatrists control the studies and knowledge to get payback from big pharma. Can you back that up without quoting Scientology, Baughman or other Antipsych websites? Oh, return of the...

Speaking of hyperactive ADHD -problems with impulse control..lack of editing behaviour...will blurt things out that shouldn't be said -living in the moment ...poor forward planning..procrastination, forget appts. etc -more dramatic(heart on their sleeve)..more easily sucked in emotionally, over reac...

... it's just bad science calling our lack of attention ADD. Then again, psychiatry doesn't really care much about whether there's really something called ADHD, they just want to prescribe drugs whenever they can and tell people that stimulants are a good way of treating attention problems. That qu...

I have a diagnosis for another disorder. It's a significant weakness but I have made a lot out of my life. I think about this disorder on a daily basis because two of my daughters also have it. Sure, it would be great to be innocent and happy all day long....like my dog. But, then you wouldn't have ...

This one should be judged as all drugs should...and that is on a risk/ reward basis. Bad trips are common with LSD and it is not uncommon that people who take LSD do things that they would never do normally because of it's hallucinatory properties. Documented cases of people dying because they belie...

Big profits? With .6% of the population on a diagnosis for which hardly any medication is prescribed? I don't think so. With an estimated 15% for PD's psychiatry has no need for ASD's, not to mention that ASD's are fit better into the area of neuro-psychology then psychiatry and mentioning Scientol...

There is the possibility that ASD has been made up by big pharma and psychiatry so that: 1)big profits can be made...and 2)psychiatry can justify it's existence. Some religions believe that maladies/ disorders are really the host being controlled by devils. Scientology believes that these behaviours...

Well I don't think she is in the pay of "Big Pill" either, but Fedaykin's calculation of the truly dysfunctional amount of time she spends on Wikipedia look fine and fair to me. But,...if you don't believe me, simply invite her to comment on this board. I'd love to hear what she has to say. Me too,...

The conclusion that this person MUST be a pharma employee is totally unjustified. I can conclude now that you're a complete twit. You keep pretending people have written stuff they haven't for the sake of argument. I would like an answer to the question though.. Is the problem in your perception of...
