Forum: General Autism Discussion   Topic: How often do your special interests change?

I don't want my special interest to change. I'll stick with it, probably throughout my entire life. It has also lasted a long time. I'm not flexible at all. If I notice something that I can get interested in, I'll rather stick to my current obsession and mantain the same pattern and predictability. ...

It is a fact of life, and as much of an issue that some women have lost one or both breasts as it is a fact of life and an issue that breast size seems to be important to some people -- more important than the woman behind them. breast size is not more important to me, that is the thing, I think th...

Not necessarily, no. I don't like the meaning people attach to it.

VAGraduateStudent's #1 is right in my case and in my culture.
dyingofpoetry's #3 is also a good observation. True in my case. (I'm not yet diagnosed).

I take medication for depression and depression-like symptoms, and I'm trying to start with sleeping medication, because I can never sleep when I should sleep and my sleeping cycle always gets out of control to extremities. I guess this is AS related?

Sure everyone is different, but I think here we're talking about that "wrong planet"-feeling, like you're an alien or a different species or were born into the wrong world. Maybe you never had that. THANK YOU for clearing that up! I've had that in every social setting since I was born. Before kinde...

Aren't everyone different from eachother? I know I've always been different, from very young, but as far as I understand everyone feel this way, it's nothing special. You just work with it and try to fit in the community, as also everyone does. I did that, until I understood that I weren't able to l...

Marfan Syndrome is very much about physical deficits/deformities, and I'm pretty sure this has nothing in common with Asperger's, which is about something else. I have been digging into Marfan Syndrome before, it seem to be something pretty rare, not relating to Asperger's, or autism, that is hard t...

There was a lot to be cleared up there. I wouldn't react if you said that. It's a minimal portion of Europe you're talking about. (Not most of it, to emphasize that). Because of this I don't understand so much of what you're saying, because the same positi...

I would simply say that our young ladies go farther then young european ladies who graduate publicly funded uni to a far more harsh economic landscape. Our young ladies are graduating with higher honors and landing better paying positions. What do you mean with this? Is the economic landscape in Eu...

For societal reasons Norway, Sweden and Iceland. But for best living choice I have no idea. I don't think they necessarily correlate. I know the mentioned countries place high on the "quality of life" measurements, but women would maybe think that countries to live in is jugded by preferences, not o...
