I learned early on that Tito had a much more humane and rational style of communism compared to other Eastern European countries, and he seemed popular among his people.

Elevators aka lifts aren't my favourite thing either, but I can live with them e g if not on my own.

There are usually stairs or a fire escape as a backup in case of power failure - in fact I haven't seen any buildings in my country in which an elevator is the only alternative.

How does a robber look? In movies they wear a balaclava, hoodie or beanie, or are simply cast as they have a "baddie" face?

I can't quite imagine that you look like a robber.....

Welcome to WP. Many of your experiences bear similarity to my own. But I had more supportive folks and my late Mom was instrumental in helping me get me diagnosed at 45, although it was PTSD that actually led to the eventual breakthrough.
