I can't believe how quickly the US turned into literally a dictatorship where freedom of movement no longer seems guaranteed and si many live in fear. I am sorry you have to put up with three and a half more years of this plague.

Today some idiot on a bike had the nerve to throw an empty container of liquid into the gutter. I didn't know what he threw and it could have struck me. It could have been a firecracker or something like that so I screamed. But it landed in the gutter. He didn't throw it at me, it didn't hit me, an...

I am glad you have things to be grateful for. Gratitude can definitely improve one's state of mental health. Continue to be thankful for all the small mercies. There's always someone worse off, and someone better off. Many of these "better off" folks have lost their humanity. They take eve...

All of us have differing strengths and weaknesses. I used to be a serious ultramarathon runner whos' hoping to get back into it. I didn't fit in in team sports and I took to drinking with colleagues when I was about 20, as it helped me fit in. But then I discovered running and hiking, two sports tha...

I don't believe property damage, particularly to private as opposed to government property, is justifiable, but neither is forcibly removing public representatives who aren't bring violent but want answers to legitimate questions, for example. That said, emotions do run high when people are frustrat...

This sounds a lot like my home country South Africa in the 1960s where protestors against the government were often treated heavy handedly during peaceful resistance, and things rapidly got out of control despite peaceful intentions. I'm not ok with some of the policies of the current SA government,...

Tinnitus is a more likely explanation. I get that a lot: ringing or buzzing in the ears, and doctors aren't really sure what causes it. Can be annoying but I've learned to live with it.

Welcome to WP! I hope you'll find some useful answers on here. Best of luck on your journey forwards.

I was only diagnosed at 45 and didn't need to pay as it was a state hospital mental health clinic. I was very glad to finally find a mental health professional who knew what she was doing.
