Thank you all for your replies (and for reading that long post!) I'll try to reply to what I can best I can... @dossa: I'm the first to tell someone what I truly think, which has gotten me in trouble in the past, but yet, I still do that. It's illogical not to. On the few occasions I have purposely ...

I haven't seen this posted anywhere on the Web, so I thought I'd post it here: Does any of you see subtitles or visual words in your mind (think of a DVD or a HUD), or am I the only one that sees this when people talk as a way to concentrate?

Hello, all. I don't post to WP that often, and I'm just some random guy on here, but I thought I'd try to ask a question straight and divulge some serious info about me anyway to the public for all you to read, and hopefully, help me figure out, as it is beginning to drive me crazy: This is probably...

Out of curiosity, are there any real dating sites that are for mainly for autistic people rather than neurotypicals? There was one I found, but it didn't seem legitimate. Are the only options just to use general sites like OKCupid?

Deception (i.e. faking) anything is never the answer to any problem; it is rather illogical at best. That said, if the OCD is the larger problem, then I would definitely mention that instead. Worse yet, if you do not actually have HFA, it may give people the wrong image of people that really do live...

AI is indeed an interest of mine as well. I think the world needs a new view of a robot in the same way Apple gave the world a new view of a personal computer in the home. The problem is how to implement it so that they are truly intelligent, and how to treat the new digital, sentient beings properl...

This has got to be one of the most INTERESTING questions to be on this forum or anywhere on Earth for that matter... but... I shall taketh the challenge!! ! To answer this the best I can and do it scientifically, here are some clues to what "gender" each OS would be, mostly by looking at the mascot ...

- Try using Recuva to recover any of your files to another drive. Your player probably just got corrupted, but if you don't read or write to it after the file loss, you might be able to recover them. - Test if the internal storage is failing--a Gnu/Linux distribution can do this for free with the Di...

Well, to be quite honest, in the old versions of Windows, IE could be taken out, but now, it's integrated into the software, and it really can't be taken out without brute action. You could, however, go to Program Files as an Administrator and delete Internet Explorer, after you open Default Program...

Personally, something clean like the design of Apple and Google's websites would work nicely, and users could always invert colors.

You have Windows 7 on there? I am not a Dell fan by any means, but I remember the 620, which really should be running XP Pro (64-bit if supported); if not, try Windows 8 which has several TPM enhancements. Better yet, if you have the patience to try it, there are better operating systems that still ...

Well... to be honest, I'm a Christian, but there's some things I can't be sure of, like what the Earth, universe, etc. are in relevance to what we can see. I believe in the Big Bang, and somewhat in some aspects of evolution, and do not agree with the traditional Christian view of how everyone is in...

Oh, before I forget (sorry, should have said this earlier) I hated green ketchup, had a hard time with a green eggs and ham thing I did for kindergarten. But, otherwise, I love eating eggs, but I guess everyone has their own preferences. :-)

Hee hee... this is a funny one! I like the smell what others might consider odd, like markers, antifreeze, new road, gasoline, and new paint. I love the smell of new hardware or electronics when they first run, or when a computer comes out of the box. I like the smell of certain deodorants, but hate...

I know exactly what you're talking about, because I do the exact same thing. Seriously. The best way I eventually found was to go into a quiet, totally dark room if possible. From here, I basically just let everything flow out, and it basically has "re-calibrated" or reset me when I need to work on ...
