You learn to work around it. Many people have different work times to their partners, it's something you adapt to and make the best of the situation. When I was working nights I would meet my (now ex) partner and we'd have breakfast together before walking her to work. It meant we got to spend some ...

Melbourne is after all the most liveable city in the world :D Indeed it is! Been stuck in Sydney for some time now and miss my Melbourne mates. I'm going to be staying here until the COVID situation settles, worried about catching it on the plane and spreading it around. People in the Sydney hospit...

Don't we have Facetime and Zoom and numerous other ways of having meetings without sharing infections with each other?
At this time of all times I'm very happy to be able to socially distance while still staying in touch.

Probably multiple other factors like economic difficulties making people choose not to risk having children as well as obesity related hormone imbalances. I don't know if it's any way related, but I was in the USA and Canada 11 years ago the number of morbidly obese people scared me. I couldn't buy...

Lamb chops covered in oregano and salt on top of the grill and some steamed veg.
Life is good, even in iso, how is everyone else going?

I'm getting really really sick of being at home and not at work. My home work setup is terrible.

Thankfully my home setup is fine.
I can't work from home and are pleased I don't need to go to work.
Happily isolating at home away from this dreaded virus.

I know the towers on top of Mt Dandenong well!
I used to run around up there all the time.
It was awesome checking out the towers churning out hundreds of kilowatts and enjoying the beautiful view.
Really miss Melbourne, but right now there is no way they want people who have come from Sydney there.

That's my understanding too, the quote from Gates is probably fiction. Remember running 80286 boxes and 640KB was the bee's knees? I also really liked the interface of XP and Win 7. Keep it simple! At one state I dropped 1GB of RAM into my new XP box, it ran sweet as. I've now got 16GB in a non Micr...

I agree Nick, I have absolutely no time at all for people who do indecent things. Even more so as this young lady was aged 12 at the time :( . When I was in 14 I was still busy swimming in the local river with my mates and sometimes falling off my bike and banging myself up. The fact she felt pressu...

It's certainly warmer here than Melbourne this time of year, not to mention the COVID issue down there. Watching the news it seems COVID has popped up in Bondi.... Wow now it's Sydney's turn to deal with the blessed COVID - again. The place is in lockdown and I'm going out of my way to avoid contac...
