Going forward means moving out of the apartment, or if you live in the place that you had together, find a new one. If you have children together you have the problem that everytime you see your children again, you will see her and thrown back into old feelings. But you ll have to decide if you care...

Either they said it knowing your condition. Or they said it not knowing your condition. If they didnt know about your diagnosis, which i assume, then I d just ignore it, coz I m passive aggressive. People are idiots. The right thing to do is to tell them to their face, in a nice way. You could say t...

I dont call myself anything. Since I am self-diagnosed I also dont dare to say that I have Asperger. I just have many properties that correlate with that condition. I could maybe have been diagnosed with autism, I think. In any case I was extreme Asperger when I was young. But my mother didnt want t...

Is there anything about me that is not correlating with Asperger...

Slowly freakin me out. This "not wanting to hug" thing also is a major reason for my bad relationship with my mother, I think.

I wished I was better at being fake. I can do it for a short time. Hours, or even days. But once I am daily in contact with someone, they find out what I really think. And sarcasm... I always thought I m good at that. Fact is, I m sarcastic a lot of the times, but I never see it when others are. It ...

I have just read the part about "Invitations". The funny thing is, that I can do that. I can ask dumb questions like "how was your week-end" and "have you seen that new movie". I have learned these techniques by copying other people and seeing how it works. However, (1) I feel absolutely fake when I...

Yeah, the trigger explanation hits the nail on the head. Removing the triggers is a major part of her treatment. She is also in a class for behavioural change. But it s very difficult. Sometimes she feels bad and she doesnt know what to do. Whatever I propose, is not adequate for her. Since we are s...

First of all, Vulcans are not emotionless. On the contrary, they killed each other in the past so much that they invented this purification-thing, where they loose all emotions. But young Vulcans have emotions, even stronger than humans. But I m not a Trekkie... Anyway, am I a very emotional person?...

We went to couple therapy but had to stop, since my wife did not like to hear me speak with the counselor. She became paranoid about it and it was not helping her at all, she said. I disagree with the part in the wikipedia-article where they say that more knowledge of BPD made family members feel wo...

Well she had and still has therapy. She is not on meds anymore. Meds are anyway only a short-time solution. It s more like, she has some issues, but it cant all be her fault. It also has to be me that has a problem. So we both have to change and it lessens the gravity of her issues... That is fine f...

Today's yellow press news in Germany : A guy tries to kidnap a child. The guy's mother says that her son has Asperger's. Do you think that kidnapping and Asperger have anything to do with each other? Do you think that media often connect Asperger with bad/criminal behaviour, even if it makes absolu...

@neilson_wheels I m not really depressed. I accepted how I am and it s ok for me. I dont need to go out and have tons of friends. It s not necessary for me. But my wife needs somebody that acts the right way towards her, otherwise her Borderline thinking gets triggered and she cycles into a world of...
