Failed elementary school math and English. Barely passed math last year in freshman year of college had I not cheated on my homework.
Chess doesn't require math. It's just anticipating decisions, not thoughts. Be prepared to plan moves at least 3 turns in advance.

I was actually better on friend making at school. Also most bullies these days "passive aggressively" bully other people by getting weaker people to do it for them. If not, it boils down to Snapchat nudes or something. Academically, school is a mixedm bag. I am terrible at math, English, s...

Alex is American, of course there are lots. Doesn't matter as much though. Makes you wish some sites aimed larger, but I suspect Alex lacks funding as is.

I'm also curious about how dyscalculia plays out in higher mathematics. When you get out of the realms of mental arithmetic and into conceptual math. Where it is theory, formula, concepts, and simple number crunching stops being the all. It would be safe to say that anyone with this problem never g...

Hello rogueone, I am also a film student and did extremely poorly in maths. I also did not speak or write until I was 9. Don't let this diagnosis define you. It can help you understand you and what your needs might be, but don't feel burdened by it. You are in college, so clearly you have talent and...

I was thought to have it, but I don't. I have a friend with it and severe social anxiety. She relies on medication and goes to concerts and political rallies for recuperation.
Just be willing to step outside your bubble.

I never imagined. It just felt like an intrinsic disadvantage. I knew words. I knew what people were saying, but there were times it sounded muffled or foreign sounding. I would try to answer, but I did not know how. Speech therapy did not help. A friend whose sister had Aspergers taught me how to s...

I can never do it. Only time I feel need to force it is on my brother. For other autistics it feels natural but not complete because both of us are equally uncomfortable with full eye contact all the time.

Suspect I am, but I'm done with maths in school for ever. I ask far below government standards of math, English, and writing.

There is nothing wrong with being asexual. Just don't be like those people who constantly reminds everyone they're asexual.

If it really interests me, I can really focus on it. If it doesn't interest me, I can't stay focused on it at all. There's not much in-between. This is the case with me. I'm not hyperactive, but I have hyper focus, which in turn makes me more inattentive. If it's a movie, video game, or film/drawin...

Be friends first. Regardless of where he is, just ask to be his friend and be house friend before you ask.

I feel like I've always had this sixth sense to detect other autistics or siblings. A guy in one of my art classes, my roommate last year, or other people I know it's easier for me to look into their eyes, much more so than anybody else. I still can't make complete eye contact, and when I do meet e...

I have a friend who is in fashion design, she died my makeup once, mostly out of a whim. It was actually okay, but it was a pain to wash it later. Don't see myself using it, but naturals are nice.
