One of my special interests is collecting and restoring computers from the 1990s. I don’t tell anyone about it because I don’t want them to associate me as being weird. However, nostalgia became popular during Covid. Would this be a socially-accepted special interest then? I think that is a fantast...

Ours is in the tailbone. Mine developed a big hole you could stick your finger in, and it got infected. My daughter's isn't as severe and didn't need fixed. My son doesn't have it at all. Do you know about taking bioavailable Methylfolate instead of Folic Acid? FA is added to bread and all sorts of...

I just watched a video where they talked about oral health and preventing cancer This video was VERY eye-opening and all health problems like cancer, dementia and neurological disorders like Autism can be traced back to one source... high levels of mercury exposure!! ! Meaning that people with Auti...

I have an uneasy feeling most of the time that is anxious and scared, but more specifically if there is something actually scary I feel like I can't handle it. I'm afraid of being in a car on the freeway, though I do it. Recently there was a terrible storm where I live, and luckily there was enough...

I am 20, 21 in May, and I admit I am a "cringe Looney Tunes adult". I also selfship with Elmer Fudd (please don't think of me as creepy like everyone else has), and hyperfixate on him a lot. The problem is I am 20 and like a show for a very young audience when I should be watching sophist...

If I were you, I would definitely seek out an autism assessment if you are able to do that.

I did this a bit or at least it look to others like I was doing that a lot. Members on other forums thought I was trolling & I eventually left due to the negative hostility being directed at me :( It appeared to others that I was just complaining, venting, & blaming but I was really trying ...

It’s difficult on this forum format to give back and forth feedback, you can’t comment directly under comments such as you can on sites like Reddit, so I appreciate its hard for OP to reply to everyone. If you press the quote button at the top right side of someone's post, it will allow you to resp...

My loneliness is so severe it's actually crippling. I just feel the hurt. There is nothing else I can do about it.

I agree. Sometimes people just need to be heard. They might not be emotionally ready to change their situation yet or they might not be capable of changing it for whatever reason that we don't know about. That's why we shouldn't judge. We just don't know what their actual situation really is. We onl...

Sometimes the suggestions that people give don't apply to our situations. But people want us to take their suggestions because it makes them feel good that they are "helping" us. I know for me, sometimes my brain keeps seeking for the answers but the answers aren't there. They don't actual...

You can actually really see red when it gets that intense. It happens when you get extreme blood flow to the eyes with a massive surge of adrenaline. It's rare but it can actually happen.

I was 25 when I first learned about neurodivergence. I'm 31 now. The first thing I ever considered was ADHD.... it seemed to explain a lot. Half right. I do have ADHD, turns out. (Though it's taken me until this year to actually accept it, because I'm blind to my own attention issues. It's obvious ...

It's okay if people need to do this. No one should judge why someone posts something even if we don't think they are making the "progress" we think they should be making with the advice given. Sometimes people need to do this because that is how they need to do to process whatever they are...

Whether it's just autism, or if you also have mental health conditions or physically debilitating conditions (for me the one that affects my life the most is chronic fatigue (ME/CFS)), what do you tell people to help them understand that you are not being difficult but actually want to be available...
